Steak 'n Shake

"I went inside to order. They no longer have a person take your order, it's all done on the kiosk, whether you are doing take out or dining in... then it actually has the nerve to suggest a tip amount. This is a huge pet peave of mine.... counter service fast food places should NOT be asking for tips. Period. Especially when you have to type your order into a kiosk. These employees get paid at least minimum wage, unlike waiters and waitresses in an actual restaurant that get paid less than $3 an hour. Not to mention, the table I sat at to wait for my food was dirty. The first time I went here a couple weeks ago, the burgers were greasy. This last time I went, they actually made one of the burgers wrong, which I didn't discover until after I got home. The cooks are friendly and made it right. The girl who calls your name when your food is ready was not. She was also stingy with the ketchup. I sat at the same table to wait for them to correct my order... and the table was still dirty. And no, they were not very busy. The milkshakes are always fabulous, although I swear the cups are smaller than they used to be about 5 years ago... which was the last time I'd been here until this month."

"Employees were very helpful and my order came out promptly.I bought a snickers milkshake on happy hour which was less than 3 bucks and it was delightful. Only negative thing is that it has dingy smell that pretty much every Steak ‘n Shake has so nothing especially different concerning the overall cleanliness of this particular location. How ever I’d still return!"

"The food was good. You can't really say much about the service because steak 'n shake isn't really a service type business anymore. You go to a kiosk. Can place an order and then they call you when your food is ready. It's efficient and to the point and I'm cool with that. I would say my only issue was that the floors were dirty and a bit sticky, but other than that everything else seemed fine. I would say the bathrooms could be cleaner but I don't know if that was from a lack of cleaning or just us coming in after the lunch rush."
