Reviews of Romano's Macaroni Grill
"Food & take out is good, this is a really high quality Italian restaurant and dishes are tasty and fresh. I sometimes have trouble ordering online because I think they changed the menu and ordering system so I am confused. But other than that, this is a perfect spot to take your family to or go for a date night."
"Spencer was our server and she was amazing. The food was hot and tasted great. Definitely will be back during my next holiday vacation!!!"
"The absolute worst restaurant in winter garden to order anything to go!! Pasta absolutely dry, no sauce. Requested extra sauce. This is not the 1st time but there will be no more. I can't wait to see which restaurant will be taking this spot."
"RMG = Disappointing. We visited Sunday midafternoon because we’ve been there many times and it is usually a really nice experience. And the food was consistently good. This time, some of the food was good and our server did a great job. However, the person who took us to our table, acknowledged us by saying, “table for two?” A greeting would be nice. “Welcome to Macaroni Grill, my name is… table for 2?” And maybe mention that the AC isn’t working very well at the moment. Offer me a cold drink to make up for the balmy temperature in the restaurant? Since COVID, restaurants continue to be a hit or miss. Most staff have changed every time we visit. RMG is no different. This time, my dish was great except, either the capellini was over cooked and thick or they substituted spaghetti. It was still good, but maybe let the guest know about the substitution. And when serving a pasta dish, I shouldn’t have to ask for a spoon. My guest had the Chicken Caesar and requested light dressing. Not on the side, but light. It came drenched in dressing. It was brought to the table by someone other that the original server and he kindly presented the dishes and left. There was no opportunity to fix the mistake, besides, we were hungry. The chicken was acceptable, but the “salad” was nothing but stems. We were both very hungry, so we ate what we were given, paid, and left. Working in a restaurant cannot be easy. I could never do it. And, unless the frontline staff does something awful, I will always be on their side. However, I will blame poor management. Not sure who the “greeter” was. I assume the manager but he never gave his name or greeted us or smiled or interacted beyond, “Table for two?” How about you make me feel welcomed to drop $60 for lunch. Help me want to enjoy $20 cocktails and desert. There are at least a dozen restaurants within walking distance, why should I choose RMG? I really enjoy their food so I'll visit at least one more time in hope of improvement."
"We had a great meal and our server Cheryl was fantastic! She recommended some items for our dining party and it was very helpful. Cheryl also was very attentive (refilling drinks, boxing up leftovers) and we had a good time chatting with her. We will ask for Cheryl when we come back."
