"Visited Yamato for a birthday dinner. I must say that my experience somewhat underwhelming. the sushi was decent, the hibachi proteins were okay, veggies were overcooked and I found the hibachi noodles rice to be lacking in flavor. The overall taste and quality of the meal did not meet my expectations. I believe that there is room for improvement in terms of food selection and taste this establishment. Despite friendly service and pleasant ambiance the lackluster dishes ultimately left me feeling unsatisfied with my dining experience."

"The food was excellent. The Yamato dinner for two house special was a wise choice. The soup and salad are the perfect start to the meal. They serve generous portions of rice, vegetables, chicken, shrimp and filet miñon. Every item is well seasoned. The passion fruit lemonade was refreshing. It is sweet, but it has the perfect balance of tangyness from the passion fruit. I am looking forward to trying other menu items. One non menu item issue I did encounter was the slippery floor with my high heels."

"We were expecting the place to be crowded at Sunday Brunch and was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. We chose the dine-in option. We were seated near the Sushi bar in a corner booth. The atmosphere was good. Our server Thi, was very sweet and attentive and the menus had something for every palate of Japanese food. Thi let us know we they were still serving drinks for Happy Hour, so we ordered the Mai Mango and Pink Dragon. Both of which were deliciously tangy and fruity. The salad was brought out and the soup and appetizers arrived hot and quickly. We were weren't even finished before the main course was brought out. The servings were large and hot. My Teppanyaki chicken was tender and flavourful with shrimp, vegetables noodles and rice on the plate. His steak was also flavourful with shrimp. We were hungry when we arrived and sated when we waddled out. We will definitely return. Thank you, Yamoto."
