"I have had kids at Blake for 8 straight years and will have kids at Blake for 7 more years. Blake is very clear about its procedures, rules and expectations. While I have experienced a few teachers who are not working with students the huge majority are there working hard to help and teach kids. The staff is hard working and dedicated to the students and parents. Communication from the teachers has always been good with a few exceptions. My kids love the school and I am very happy with it as well."

"Teachers are the worst along with the unprofessional director. There is only one teacher in this school that I would approve of. These teachers are over staffed with kids and complain about how overwhelming this is for them. Children are not learning and are being ignored when they ask questions. Don’t waste your children’s learning opportunity to be tainted with this horrible view of what school should be like."

"It is a pretty great school but it needs to change the disciplinary system and get better lunch food. But the amazing thing about it is that they go out of the way to make sure that there students futures will be amazing with all that they do to encourage us. Also with all of the many options they give us in electives is another pro. It is truly a great school"

"I've always enjoyed this school up until this year. Both of my children have been targeted and it's more from the school officials than the students. They back each other up and do not have the best interest of the children at heart. DO NOT let your children attend this school. One teacher directly told me she was not going to teach my child, even though he didn't understand the work. Ever since I let the school officials know this happened in April, it is now 5/14 and both of my children are suspended now. 1st and 5th grade for issues they have never had before. Worst school, worst school officials in Polk County!"

"My daughter has gone here for her 6th grade year and will not be going back. This school is the worst. They have no control over there kids and seem to have a happy go lucky staff. If other schools can implement no cell phone policies why can't they. The teachers are weak and don't know how to handle pre teens. My daughter excelled in her elementary school. Recieved awards from the county and won many contest but shes (for lack of better words)dumbed down by the school. They offer nothing challenging and don't do anything for there kids. The kids are not punished for bulling at all. And are un supervised so much that it happens often. The music teacher left and they watched movies for over 3 months because they didn't have a replacement lined up. Just don't send your kids there."
