"My daughter is an only child, didn't start daycare till a year before kindergarten and never had been around many other children before that let alone children her own age, so starting kindergarten was super exciting for her until she actually started going. She had a few adjusting problems in daycare but her teacher and classmates were wonderful and patient with her. She ended her time in daycare with much progress. Then kindergarten started okay, had some issues w behavior but we all worked on that with her together. Since the holidays and class change things got better temp n now it seems we are back to the drawing board. Her doc believes she is having emotional problems due to not knowing how to react to other children other than getting really upset and that has caused her to get herself in trouble more than it's helped her to stay out. No matter how much we talk about it and come up with other ways to deal with her anger or sadness then getting mad and hitting or verbally abusing others back it seems like she just can't stop herself which is bad. I like the teachers, I love all the teacher-student-parent-family events that happen non stop through out the year but the transition from daycare to real school was a huge change for her and she's still not adjusted here it is the end of the year. We are a very busy family which helps keep her busy too. I think she just gets bored and wants to talk to everyone all the time in class because she doesn't have friends outside school. It's all trial n error hope gets better"

"Bullying goes on here everyday in front of teachers.They do nothing to these kids one teacher was even told about bullying and her remark girls will be girls boys will be boys kids will be kids.Does Parkland ring a bell to any of you staff members.You can stop alot of this nonsense now if you take action you are the problem as well.lets not see this school be next on the news you can prevent it"

"this school is very racist it's very deterrent for a young black male I buy anyone going to this school or sending their kids to this school if you don't have to dump I'm in a situation where my child is stuck because I have no Transportation the teachers have put their hands on my child they have called DCF on me twice because I went out and I stood up to them the only way that they feel they can hurt me if you tried to call DCF on me and each case was unfounded the principal Miss salts the teacher Miss Thiem at this point I'm I'm getting ready to call the sheriff and press charges against the principal along with the teacher I'm going to the school board I'm going to the meat news medium whoever else I can advise anybody to keep their child out of lealman Avenue Elementary School do not place your child in this school"
