"It's an ok place. There's one server who yells shut the door anytime the door is open. But there's usually a line during the lunch hour. Very unprofessional, can be asked more professionally to keep the door closed. Food is so/so. A bunch of us Veterans have gone a few times. They have one food bar and most of the time they have dried out pork chops. I haven't been back in 2 years, overpriced for the slop they serve."

"I visited Brown's Country Buffet today and it, was, AWESOME. I've eaten here a long time ago, but we had family visiting from California and we had to meet somewhere between Lake City and Gainesville. So Brown's it was. There were 10 of us and they sat us right away, our server was awesome and I forgot her name but she was great and if anyone reads this soon tell her we said so! We had a variety of menu items, from French Toast with bacon or sausage, to different style omelettes, and I had the country fried steak. The entire staff was pleasant, super.on the ball with drink refills, we never needed anything. Everyone raved about the place and yeah what a gem in Alachua!"

"The buffet is less than 13.00 per person, including drink. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! True southern hospitality. The tea is fresh-brewed and delicious. The chicken cacciatore was just the right blend of sweet/sour/spicy/salty. The fried chicken was what you'd expect in any respectable southern restaurant; crispy, juicy, and fabulous. Fresh salad bar, and plenty of desserts. The potatoes were clearly instant, which was the only slight disappointment. Unbelievably great for such a low price, and the staff is so gracious, it's completely worth the experience. When a place is busy at 3:30 on a weekday, and full of longtime regulars, you know it's successful, and for good reason."

"True family country buffet. Great price of 11 bucks with drink. Homemade sweet tea for me. 10 bucks with water. Good fried chicken and BBQ pulled pork, corn bread,mashed potato. Regular American basic fare. Salad Bar is there as is desert bar. But saving room for desert is hard you can do it!"
