Reviews of Lake Mary Elementary School
"What a blessing we have in the Seminole County School System, and especially Lake Mary! Lake Mary Elementary School's staff and faculty have gone the extra mile with two little boys. These boys are new to Florida and the Lake Mary area. They have lost their mother and grandmother, that was raising them, within just a few years. The boys now are being raised by their uncle and adoptive grandfather. The office staff, especially Mrs. Suzanne Behrens, have been welcoming, accommodating, and more than friendly, as these little boys made a very difficult move and transition. As you can imagine their was a tremendous amount of records, legal documentation, and residency issues to resolved. But, everything was done with patience and a smile. As a retired school superintendent of thirty-two years educational experience and supervising thousands of employees, I can state without reservation that Lake Mary Elementary staff earns an A+ from me. We all know that a school is not a building, but its staff. Thank you again for everything, and may our Creator bless all the leadership, faculty, and staff of Seminole County School System, of which I am a product. With best wishes, I remain, Sincerely, John Otto Thomas (1974 Seminole High School) Thomas Duncan Callens"
"We have been in this school for 9 years. My oldest in high school and my youngest starting kindergarten. I am impressed by the changes Mrs. Peacock has made. She works beautifully with the new Vice principle. You cannot expect perfection when entering any school. I feel that this school has two great leaders between the principal and Vice Principal and many wonderful teachers to choose from. The officer is there for your child's safety. She may come off as not friendly but is very nice and shy. Be kind to her and you will get to know a wonderful woman."
"My son has been going to this school since kindergarten and is going into 3rd grade this fall. I can't put into words how despicable and horrible this "school" is, I have never in my life met so many lazy, incompetent, rude, meddlesome and plain mean people. All staff, from teachers, office personnel, principal and the waste of taxpayer's money police officer. If anyone is thinking of enrolling their child at this school, PLEASE do not!! Already called school board to complain, they cannot keep getting away with this."
"Update: the office lady from last year is no longer here and the new lady is very nice and helpful. Glad they made the change. Transferring my daughter to this school and needed to ask a couple questions. The lady in the registration office was extremely rude and apparently did not want to do her job. Will update once she actually starts school. Update: I had to deal with the office again today and nothing has changed. Still rude as heck. Her teacher however Mrs. Melani is wonderful."
"Great teachers, staff all around is helpful and alway smiling. My son went k-5 and loved it, my daughter is k-3 so far and has nothing but good to say. Love this school."
