"The view is spectacular, waterfront dining at its best. The ambiance and table settings are upscale. I had a red sangria, which had the right amount of fruitiness and fuzz. We started with fried green tomatoes and autumn flatbread. The balsamic reduction in the flatbread was delicious. THe flavors, various flavors from the butternut squash, apples, cranberry, spinach, ricotta, mozzarella and goat cheeses provides a flavor explosion. My tastebuds were very happy. The fried green tomatoes were thinly cut, dipped in buttermilk and with a creole mayonnaise. Minorcan clam chowder had fresh tomatoes, filled with ingredients, light and hearty, and absolutely delicious with a slick kick. The crab bisque had lumps of crabmeat and a rich creamy flavor. The house hips were freshly made, still warm, and very crispy. We were full with appetizers and soup but look forward to coming back another time, for entrees."
"On a day trip to Cedar Key, we stopped at 83 W. on the recommendation of a local foodie and it was really wonderful. We have been visiting Cedar Key for 40+ years, and I think this is the best restaurant on the dock. The food is fresh and chef-prepared, as are the cocktails. We were traveling with two children under 10, who wanted a window table, and the general manager, Crystal, made a readjustment of the dining room grid to make sure that happened. I understand now why they were so highly recommended. The crab bisque was great, and my granddaughter, who is a picky eater, requested a second hamburger. The view from the dock is always beautiful, but this management takes it up several notches."
"Following the destruction from Hurricane Idalia, some locations are back in service. The second floor restaurant 29 North at 83 West Dock Street was reopened on 20Oct2023. Everything was clean and shiny during our visit and the elevator to the restaurant was appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the ocean view with Pelicans and Cormorants resting on pier pillars was priceless. Gigi enjoyed the Broccoli Pesto Tortellini while I chose the Pecan Crusted Red Grouper with Jasmine Rice and sauteed vegetables. The Grouper was good and I really enjoyed the flavorful veggies."
"Top tier service from the moment we walked in the door. A pleasant and relatively quiet atmosphere, it made for a perfectly romantic dinner with my wife. Great house drinks; I highly recommend the 'Sunrise. Extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. A chef so confident in the food he is preparing you that he'll walk it out to your table personally. ABSOLUTELY DELECTABLE appetizers and dinner. Every course was delicious and served quickly. AND THE BEST AFTER DINNER CUP OF COFFEE I'VE EVER HAD AT ANY RESTAURANT. I have absolutely no problem recommending this place and every intention of visiting next time I am in Cedar Key."
"We came in for the Seafood Festival and that was a lot of fun. Then we decided to try dinner here. Wow, what a great meal! First, the place is so nicely decorated. Upstairs is the full service restaurant and downstairs is the bar. We stopped in for a quick refreshment downstairs. Wonderful water views, laid back and reasonable prices. Then we came back for dinner upstairs. We were greated by friendly staff and got a table right by the window! Double win. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, bowl of crab bisque and the wild fish sandwich fried. The sandwich was large enough for 2 people and delicious! The crab bisque was my favorite. The only recommendation I would have is to throw in some bread with the crab bisque. Or offer a bread basket for purchase. We dipped some of our sandwich bread in and wow so good!! We are excited to come back with friends and family. It is a cute place and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Thank you for a great meal! :)"
