"There are German Cockroaches throughout the facility. I’ve seen them on a daily basis crawling up the walls and under carpets."
"So my son is special needs and was having some difficulty at his previous before/after care program. The previous program as 1 large room with up to 100 kids and 4 adults. So I reached out to kids r kids and explained how he was being suspended and with me returning to office it was a stressful time not knowing if I would have care. I was assured that they are able to handle the situation and they wouldn’t suspend him for behavior and would notify me of the behavior. Well they were right about 1 thing, they didn’t suspend him they kicked him out after 3 days. Now I’m worse off than I was before. On top of that they kept my $150 application fee. I wouldn’t recommend this place if your child is special needs as they panic and and instead of trying to help your child they kick them out."
"The main reason I selected Kids r kids is due to the camera access. I feel many parents select this establishment because of that reason. My two sons went to Kids R Kids Land O'Lakes for two and a half years. As they got older and moved up in class, I felt as though the care in each new class descended. There are untrained, young, and even non english speaking caregivers in the classrooms. It is not a huge concern about not speaking English, but it has its difficulties when we as parents are trying to inquire about our child’s day. They have a BIG ISSUE in room 250. This is the 2year to 3-year-old class. Young girls that have short patience work in this room. They can never keep a teacher in this class. Most of the children are running around with no organization at all! kids walking around with dry snot on their faces Room 300 which is 3 years to 4 years has a little better organization but is still missing the structure to its room. Their main teacher does not know how to deal with the children well. The teachers do not know how to respond or deal with any behaviors from the children. I can say they have a few Diamonds in the rough. Ms. Maria in room 300 is the main reason I stayed as long as I did. My son was so happy to see her. When she was out it hurt to leave him. She was loving and treated him like her own. I will always be grateful to her for that. The cafeteria lady Ms. Sonja was a joy. She made sure my son ate well, especially due to his allergies to chicken and tomatoes. I will always appreciate the extra care you gave to them. Kids r kids do not deserve you two wonderful ladies. Chuck and Courtney really are not worth what they are charging. They seem to just hire anyone and then raise prices. Your establishment needs to be worth what you're wanting to charge these parents. If you want structure, cleanliness, and teachers with patience this is not the place you're looking for. Chuck and Courtney have a dog while it is beautiful some kids are afraid of dogs, so the dog shouldn't just be walking around. I have seen the dog come out of the kitchen numerous times when I was dropping off. Billie the manager was a delight. I felt that she always did the best she could and she always showed me compassion when I came to her with concerns. I thank you for that, Ms. Billie. This establishment needs redirection and it starts at the HEAD. The diamonds that they do have Ms. Maria, Ms. Sonja, and Ms. Billie are the people that are keeping this place up on their shoulders. Thank you guys for caring and going the extra mile as if my children were yours. Kids r Kids do not deserve you."
"We just joined for context. We are driving a long distance to attend this school, primarily for camera access so cameras are a big deal to us. In case you choose this school for the cameras, the resolution on them is so grainy that it has limited use. Other schools that provide camera access do not have grainy old cameras. It costs them $20 per camera to upgrade to 1080 so not sure why they don't do that. Also, they don't tell you (assume unless you ask) but you can only log in 10 times for 10 minutes each time. If you are used to all day camera access like we were, you will be disappointed in this weird limitation, as we have always had all day access by camera to our child. Why would they limit parental access? I don't get it. They also have playground camera access but it points to a fence that obstructs the view and is grainy so you can't even tell if your child is on the playground. Just sharing this so you aren't as surprised as we were to learn this. On a positive note, should you be able to log in, the do provide camera access to multiple rooms that your child uses, which we like. I really only knocked the rating down for these fixable camera issues but otherwise it is a 5 star school. Day 2: Cameras allow me to see that they seem to always have 3 adults (teachers?) in the room with 15 kids. That's an amazing ratio!! The kids are all well behaved (mine wasn't at the last place because I think she was bored and under-supervised). I see actual teaching going on so I'm very happy about that. We are happy to be here. Day 3+: The "app" they use only updates late at night, like 7pm. You only get their nap time and what they ate. They do have "what they did that day" type content but they give you the exact same things everyday for a week. There's no pictures, bathroom breaks (not needed, just fyi), or anything else. The kids seem to be thriving there and the main teacher seems to be very good. This is really what matters. I'm thankful she has the opportunity to be cared for there and I would recommend this place. I hope they update the cameras soon."
"Big shout out to Kids R kids Land o Lakes! You guys were amazing with my kids! Your teachers were so sweet, caring, and educated them well. Best of all you worked with all of our food allergies and more! We will miss you! All 3 years were great!"
