"I really love this school. My kids love it. They really do their hardest to help each and every child. They communicate with parents about ways to help the parents kids to succeed in class. Give out helpful websites, and practice work at home. I love their AR (acelerated reading) nights on Thursday from 3:45-6pm. I read to my kids in the library and they take test the score them on the comprehension of the books read to them or the books they read. My kids have really excelled! Especially the 20/20 math/reading they do at home so that the kids aren’t left behind. But remember parents also have to put in their share of work too, making sure you sit with your kid and read to them and challenge them in reading & math. When my kid were falling a little behind in math they offer computer camp early in the mornings that start at 7:45am -8:15am and also at the end of dismissal 3:10-3-45pm. My kids have really benefited with the extra help. These teachers challenge the kids and you will be surprised! At how your kid! Will be writing paragraphs in kindergarten! And reading @ a 4 grade level in kindergarten! My son was able too. Yours will too! Dedication is given to these kids! And I myself give the time to spend with my kids to have them at a higher level"
"my daughter attended winding waters k8. I was nervous when she was rezoned to deltona. I have to say I am extremely satisfied with the entire school year. my daughter works very hard with making honor tool each quarter. She has made honor roll every quarter. her teacher goes out of the way and pulls children into small groups when additional help is needed. absolutely loved ms. Moores. such a wonderful caring dedicated teacher. also love the mandatory 20/20."
"Absolutely awful! The majority of the staff here don't care about the kids. They care more about their paychecks. They say they don't tolerant bullying but they don't do anything to stop it. These kids don't get enough time to eat and or even be kids. If you have a kid who is autistic, adhd, add, etc don't bring them here because none of the staff know how to teach them. No patients! I will be happy to get my daughter out of this school."
"Absolutely horrible. I have had teachers just completely lie to me on multiple occasions , school doesn't follow its own policy's or procedures failed to inform me that they did not have supervision for pc camp in the mornings and that i basically need to walk up to the school doors and make sure that someone appointed by the school is on duty on time for the class they offer, my daughter's been assaulted twice and both times no one did anything about it. And today they saw me driving up and on purpose rushed the kids inside so I would have to run in and sign them out . Like its not hard enough changing my lunch around to pick my kids up since they refuse me bus service and make the kids a meal let my dogs out and feed and water them and get back in time for work all in 30 minutes."
"3 of my children have went to this school. Currently 1 is still enrolled in the 5th grade. Today he started his 1st day in Mrs. Bassa"s class. My family has went through some terrible financial problems that rendered us (my 3 kids and my wife) homeless. We live at my parents house in a room that was added on to the garage. I am unable to work and my wife works as a cna making just over minimum wage. It takes a lot of saving and going with out by my wife and i to provide our children with new school clothes and supplies. However its worth it if it helps my child have a better chance at life then my wife and myself has had. Today when my son was in school the teacher Mrs. Basso asked if he had school supplies. He said yes so she took the packs of paper, pack of pencils, note books, and folders."
