"The food was excellent. We had a reservation. No hostess so people standing around not knowing what to do. Finally a lady came up and told us to sit anywhere and another gentleman came up and said they had a table ready for us with our reservation and he seated us. They need a sign telling people to seat themselves. The service was slow as one poor guy was there working the bar, bussing the tables, taking orders, and bringing the food as well as refilling drinks all by himself. They clearly needed more help but he did the best he could. The atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed the live music. The food was delicious. So that made it worth it. We had met Trevor in the lobby earlier and he had invited us to the restaurant. We told him we already had reservations there for this evening for our birthdays and that we were on a girls trip and he said he would hook us up and make our celebration special. He was in the kitchen when we arrived. We waved at him but he never came out and spoke to us and didn’t do anything special for us during our visit. We mentioned it to the waiter and he brushed it off. So we didn’t appreciate being lied to and the broken promise. We still enjoyed our meal and had a great time but will most likely dine elsewhere next time."
"First time visiting this area of the Gulf Coast and saw recommendations for the hotel (Beal House Hotel - Hilton Tapestry Collection) for it's view, but didn't realize they also had a GREAT restaurant on the 1st floor. The service was great and lead by the absolute best bartender/server named Mike! He also knows a great deal about the local area and is fun to talk to, whether you're traveling solo, with a significant other or family, he's got your back. The food was all around delicious! Catch of the day, while pricey, is an absolute must try. I still talk about how good it is. Same with the boom boom shrimp and Fish and Chips. Breakfast was good, but in my opinion, the best food is during dinner time. Once you're done, walk over that sand dune and enjoy a walk along the beach :)"
"We were to tired to go out and find a restaurant in the neighborhood, so we decided to dine at the small restaurant that is part of the hotel we are staying for a Christmas beach getaway. Lady who seated us was incredible indifferent, not a smile, nothing. The Gentleman who served us on the other hand - Mike - was super friendly. We decided on Fish and chips and i had the gourmet burger. We were the only guest. There was a nice gentleman playing guitar for entertainment. I should have suspected something when the food came out not even 5 minutes later… the truffle fries covered 75% of the plate the remaining burger was a plain, double patty wannabe gourmet burger. The bun turned soggy and the taste was rather bland if it wasn’t for the onion and jelly. For $17 I expected a real gourmet burger you find at places like Red Robin or Taco Mac… very disappointed. Value for money? Absolutely not. My wife was equally disappointed. 3 measly pieces of deep fried fish. Suggestion: offer happy hour to draw customers in and offer a weekly special for a reasonable price like $12.99: fresh local fish, vegetables, brown rice/quinoa/…. Have a look on YouTube for ideas (Gordon Ramsey 100 recipes?). Highly overpriced. Lot’s of potential with great location. Remedy for not getting ripped off? Stay away from this place!"
"The beer, battered fried grouper was the best I’ve ever had. I almost wanted to get a second order to take home with me. It was that good. My wife she got a Grilled Grouper sandwich and she said it was excellent! Claimed they put their homemade slaw on the sandwich and my wife really loved that. Our son got the smash burger and loved it. His wife got the grouper beer, battered like I did. She agreed with my statement. You must go there and try the beer battered fried grouper…. It’s so good! We were giving our one year old grandson, small morsels of the grouper, and he couldn’t get enough of it either. Unfortunately we were there yesterday but I’m going back maybe tomorrow and I will add photos. After forgetting my credit card here two days ago. My wife and I returned to get l the same thing we got two days ago. So I added these photos to my original review, The beer battered grouper had three pieces but I ate one prior to the photo."
"The Remedy Brings me Unforgettable Dining to Fort Walton Beach. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Remedy, the newest addition to Fort Walton Beach's culinary scene. Despite its modest size, the restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The chef's masterful fusion of local ingredients and Cajun techniques creates a prescription for delectable food that is sure to satisfy any craving.
