"I absolutely ADORE this school! The new staff is so sweet and considerate. My nephew and niece go there, and they are learning so much! Thank you to the new staff!"
"As a mother and a former employee of Good Shepherd ELC, I am SO thankful for such a safe, comfortable, and family-oriented school. It was my children’s first time going to school last Fall, and now, they are beyond prepared for Kindergarten and K3 this school year. As an employee, the relationships that were formed with students and their families will stick with me forever and ever. What a special place to build friendships and what an honor it was to work alongside such amazing, talented, and loving people. Working with children is a special gift in life because they teach you something new everyday. I highly recommend Good Shepherd for all families. Not every school has a team like theirs. From the phenomenal school board, to the amazing director, Lori, to the talented teachers, to the lovely students; there’s no place like GSLELC."
"I Love Good Shepherd Early Learning Center! Both my sons attended and my two grandsons also. My youngest grandchild is now attending K3. She loves the school and her teacher, Mrs. Burris is the best. This was the first year she attended the summer program and she thoroughly enjoyed it! The director Lori Pullen has worked hard to make sure that herself and staff are ready for the 23-24 school year. The love of Christ is abundant at Good Shepherd Lutheran ELC!"
"I had my child at Good Shepherd for 3 years, and for the majority of that time I had complete faith in what they were doing. The teachers were caring, compassionate and most of all transparent. They always ensured the parents were apprised of what was going on, however, the last 2-3 months the school has lost their way. I know the teachers have done their best to shield the children from the mess that is the new administration, but even then the lack of leadership and godliness was able to bleed down into the children. When the school board changed direction, they stopped caring about the safety of our children. They were letting people work in the school without the proper background checks, giving them titles that they were not certified to have. putting the reputation of the school at risk, all while leaving the parents in the dark. Had I written this review 4 months ago, it would have been a 5 star review and highly recommended to parents. As it stands now, I am thanking god that my child is moving on and we will no longer have to worry about what the school is doing, and if they are following DCF regulations or picking and choosing which regulations to follow. If you are wanting a school where the focus is on the children and helping them build their faith with God, please consider a different school because that is not the way Good Shepherd is going with the new administration"
"I used to have nothing but wonderful things to say about Good Shepherd. Unfortunately, that is no longer how I feel and I know I’m not alone. Lori and the board are honestly awful people who crave power and control at the expense of amazing teachers. They don’t care about the children or how their public displays of humiliation towards past and present staff make the kids and families feel. They don’t care about the loss of respect and trust in the school. They don’t care about the word of God or setting an example for the kids. All they care about is their ego and it’s so sad to see such a wonderful facility operating as it is now. I would say I hope that Lori and her minions feel remorse for their actions and change, but realistically they see nothing wrong with their nasty behavior. Please seriously reconsider if you’re planning to send your children here. It’s not what it used to be."
