Reviews of White-Wilson ENT Clinic
"We highly recommend this office! Dr. Gross, Shelby Aldridge, PA Jennifer Bendokas and the office staff went above and beyond our expectations. It’s obvious they value their patients! They made my daughters dreaded surgery a breeze. Thank you for taking such good care of us!! We can’t thank you enough for all you have done!"
"I have been seeing Dr Gross for about 2 1/2 yrs. I have had a lifetime of issues with my ears. Multiple specialists and not one ever fixed my issues. Hearing loss, ruptured eardrums, you name it. He fixed my hearing. For the 1st time in many years I can swim without ear plugs. I will always have some issues due to the damage but I am confident that no matter what Dr Gross can fix it."
"I had a referral appointment after being seen in the immediate care multiple times for strep and sinus infections in the course of a few months (which for me is rare, I don't get sick often normally considering I've always had tonsil problems.) At my appointment with Dr Gross he was accompanied by a medical intern (wasn't asked if it was ok prior) but it didn't bother me. What bothered me was how I felt totally dismissed by the doctor, who seemed short with me and completely unattentive regarding my issues. Apparently the second time I was diagnosed with strep at the immediate care the test came back negative, but was still given antibiotics anyways and it was written off on my paperwork as strep even though according to their records it was negative. Regardless, I had painful sore throat and swollen tonsil symptoms which is why I went to immediate care in the first place. He didn't seem to want to acknowledge that because the test was negative. He gave a quick look at my throat 2 times and said everything looked normal. (Yet at my Dr's follow up appointment 2 weeks before this they said they looked red and still are.) He also took a look in my nostrils which was more aggressive and painful than I expected since i have a nose piercing in my right nostril and he didn't seem to take that into consideration. Basically, he told me it's normal for people to experience strep or some kind of throat infection 2/3 times a year. However, no one I personally know has experienced this. He then told me to come back to see him and not go to immediate care next time I have strep so he can see for himself, well...how would I know if it's strep? I'm not a liar and i feel that's what he was implying. I'm trying to prevent getting any further strep or throat and sinus infections, which seems to be a reoccurring thing for me. But he said he didn't want to put me through unnecessary pain via tonsillectomy if the causes were only viral. Honestly, I'd rather have that than endure strep and throat/sinus infections every so often which is why I was referred here in the first place. I feel like my appointment was a complete waste of time. I'm now hoping to get a second opinion elsewhere."
"I was referred to Dr. Gross after i was seen in immediate care multiple times for a sinus infection in just a few months. Dr. Gross repeatedly said nothing was wrong with me and asked me 5 times why i was there. I am now looking for a doctor that actually cares about their patients."
"I went to Dr. Gross quite a while back and did a review on him and his office staff, but somehow it has disappeared from Google Reviews and has been replaced with one 5 star rating. At the time I did my review, there was another gentleman who had given Dr. Gross and his staff a poor rating as well, but now it has disappeared also. I went to Dr. Gross due to a problem with my sinuses. After an endoscopy, it was found I have a deviated septum on one nostril and an irregular shaped nostril on the other. Dr. Gross and his staff were supposed to schedule me for a CT of my head to get a better view of the problem. In the meantime, I was prescribed fairly strong antibiotics, a steroid pack, and allergy medicine. The antibiotics were prescribed to me after I had just gotten off of a round of antibiotics from being sick. Due to this sickness was how I received a referral to Dr. Gross in the first place. The physician who did this, Dr. Miller, is also with White Wilson Medical Center and right across the hallway. Amazing how I was prescribed more medicine as if I had a cold or allergies; exactly what Dr. Gross' first opinion of my problem was before even examining me or doing the endoscopy. An opinion I might add he made when he immediately entered the examining room with me and my girlfriend. I took the medicine as prescribed and returned for my follow up appointment. I was not told when to have my CT and made the assumption he would have that ordered after my antibiotic ran out and the day of return visit. I made the trip from Pensacola to see him. One I had to take off work for as a school teacher. I arrived before time and paid my copay. I was brought back to an examining room and waited on Dr. Gross. The only person I saw on this visit was his nurse. Dr. Gross wound up not seeing me because his office did not schedule the CT. His nurse made up a lie that my insurance did not approve the CT and that Dr. Gross would not see me until that was approved and done. I left the office and had to ask for my copay back. I went into the parking lot and called my insurance company. Long story short, there was never a need for prior authorization for a CT scan and there was never anything said to them about one from Dr. Gross or his staff. The insurance company placed me on hold and attempted to call Dr. Gross' office. Dr. Gross' staff kept my insurance company on hold almost up to the time Dr. Gross and their staff closed their office. So, if you want a doctor who looks at you and has preconceived notions about what is wrong with you just taking a second and half glance at you, then Dr. Gross is the doctor for you. If you want someone who truly cares to help you as a patient, I would seriously go elsewhere for ENT service. Also, because a patient doesn't answer someone from the White Wilson Medical Center Marketing and Satisfaction Department, doesn't mean their review is bogus or should be reviewed from Google Reviews. It means they just don't want to have to explain further or discuss what they put in writing. Especially what White Wilson Medical Center can verify on their end to factual."
