Reviews of Childcare Network
"Might be a good idea when visiting day cares to notice that reviews left a year or so ago are high but all recent reviews are extremely poor. Multiple children have been ‘kicked out’ for behavior issues, some who have attended since birth (two plus years) and never had issues until recently following the high turnover rate and recent loss of several teachers as well as the assistant director. All of a sudden, they are now problems and just were never reported by the previous staff. Many parents have noticed changes in their children and have raised concerns but have learned before you do this, you better have other options available. Teachers seem to be inattentive as well as lack training in early childhood development. Don’t ask to see the cameras if you have questions because they don’t exist. There is not much hope for improvement under the current leadership at this facility."
"This facility was where I wanted my child to go after I had visited several child care facilities in the area. It is clean and in good condition. The children have plenty of room to learn and play. After 9 months, my child has been disenrolled due to a behavior problem typical of her age group. They simply gave up on her. I do not feel that they did everything that they could to help her. Especially after speaking with other facilities about the situation. The other facilities gave me a lot of insight on the matter and I believe she wasn't treated fairly. Her disenrollment honestly feels more like retaliation for me having a voice for my child. I brought up concerns as they arose and the attitudes of the staff, including the director, became more and more noticeable each time I raised a concern. The turnover rate was way higher than I would have ever expected. Especially in the infant and toddler rooms, where consistency is so important for development. She had to learn so many new faces, she never stood a chance to succeed. Not only that, with the turnover being so high, the rush to fill positions probably didn't help much with ensuring that the newbies were prepared to handle my child's behavioral needs. They lost 3 teachers in the newborn room and two in the toddler room. I felt like I was seeing a new face every other week in the toddler room leading up to her disenrollment. They replaced their assistant director during this time as well. There are a few good teachers there who are very sweet and genuinely love what they do. Not enough of them though, unfortunately. I honestly feel like there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than what I know about and I'm not sure that I would encourage others to send their child there either. If you want to feel like your concerns are respected as a parent and handled with care, this is not the place. Spiteful is the word that comes to mind. When my child started to talk more, I asked her every morning if she was ready to go to school and her answer was no every time. I didn't really think much of it at first. Not until I was informed that she was being disenrolled. Then I started to wonder why she didn't want to go. They didn't even give me any idea that we were potentially headed toward disenrollment. I was consistently told not to worry and that everything would be fine. The next thing I know, they're kicking her out. With only a week's notice (when we are required to give them two if we want to leave the facility) we were completely blindsided. The director's attitude was particularly surprising. She's very manipulative and even threatened to kick her out immediately if I didn't quit bothering her with my concerns and the things that I felt could be done better. The director was also supposed to be assisting me with my effort to find new care. The enrollment paperwork states, that "All efforts must be made to assist the family in locating a more suitable environment for the child, or referral/support agency to aid the family in the decisions to come." The director basically told me about the Early Learning Coalition and called it a day. That's the only effort I have seen on her part. She has ignored all other inquiries I have made for her efforts to help find another facility and yelled at me stating that, "It's not my responsibility to enroll your child!" I already have her on nearly 20 wait lists. I don't expect her to enroll my child. Merely to fulfill her responsibility in the matter. She couldn't even do that much. Feeling like my child was given up on and discarded during the most important part of her development was totally heartbreaking but with all that I had seen in the 9 months she was there (the way we were treated, the turnover rate, and other things) it's probably for the best. I thought she was in good hands but I was clearly mistaken."
"Childcare Network has been a wonderful experience so far...My son was at home with me until he started the vpk program, he was a bit hesitant (rightfully so) but the teachers really took him under their wings and he has LOVED going everyday since. Great facility the teachers honestly care for each and every child whether they're in their class or not. They literally know each child's name....which to me says a lot more about the staff then I ever could...I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vpk or child care period..I felt like NO place was good enough for my son..especially since this would of been the 1st time out of my care in 4 yrs but this place is really an amazing place....Mrs. Rachel and Mrs. Elaine are my son's teachers and they do a FANTASTIC job recognizing my sons needs and helped him strive even more..So if your looking for a vpk program...this is the place!!! =)"
"Childcare Network is a wonderful, safe, happy place where the staff truly care about your child. My children LOVE their teachers and can relate something new they've learned each day. I would recommend this center to anyone in search of an affordable, friendly place for your child!"
"I have had my 2 year old daughter in daycare since she was 6 weeks old. We have moved her several times due to the fact that we had never used a daycare facility with our 3 other children. We were very selective and never satisfied. And then we found Childcare Network on Fairfield Drive!! We love it. The facility is always clean and inviting. The staff is excellent and warm! My daughter has blossomed and learned so much since she has been with Childcare Network. I highly recommend this daycare to anyone who wants a happy, clean, safe and welcoming environment for their child/children!!!"
