Papa John's Pizza

"Order a pizza for delivery, was notified that order was on its way, after 30 Minutes I called the Orange Beach store which after telling them why I was calling and my name they hung up, I called back and was told that I needed to hold for a manager. Manager comes on the phone I give her the same information I told the previous person. She said our pizza should be delivered any moment and hung up! About 10 minutes later our pizza was delivered 45 minutes after o was notified that it was on its way! As I suspected. Pizza was cold! It was not even cooked all the way, did not receive what I had ordered and it looked like it was cut by pre- schoolers! I called back to the store and spoke with manager who said would you like another pizza made and delivered? No thank you! Give me a refund. Manager replied that will take 7-10 days! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS LOCATION! !!"

"Ordered a pizza early to beat any potential rush. When the pizza was delivered it went in the oven. About an hour passed, when I opened the box all the ingredients are off the pizza. I called Papa John's, they refused to do anything about it. My guess is, it left the store this way. They should have never sent it. I guess Dominos is the way to go when you're in Orange Beach!"

"I usually love Papa John’s but I ordered from this Papa John’s for the first time and it was very disappointing. They forgot all my extra sauces I paid for, and on top of that I didn’t receive sauce for my cheese sticks or bread sticks. My pizza was undercooked and extremely cheesy even though I didn’t order it that way. $60 worth of food and it was not edible… Will never order from the OB Papa John’s again, very unfortunate. The Robertsdale Papa John’s is 100x better!"

"Please not that this review and rating is based on consolidation of Google Maps reviews from two locations. Rather than the Gulf Shores location being permanently closed and a separate location added, it appears that the address was changed to Orange Beach so that reviews would remain on same location. 2023 Orange Beach Location: Pizzas were ordered via Papa John’s mobile app. (If you eat Papa John’s fairly often like we do, this is the way to go, as you accumulate points which results in free pizzas.) We placed an order to to be picked up at a later time, so that they would be hot since we have a 20 minute drive back to the house. We received a notification 10 minutes later that the order was ready for pickup. We applaud them producing an order so quickly, but it did defeat the purpose of having it them made at a later time. This meant the pizzas were sitting on the shelves for 40 minutes before arrived, and would be sitting in our car another 20 minutes before arriving home. If you have an order that need to be made at a specific time, I recommend calling as soon as the mobile order is placed to make sure that it’s understood that the order needs to be made later, not immediately. Pizzas tasted good though. 2022 Orange Beach Location: Pizzas were as ordered, ready for pickup on time. 2019 Gulf Shores Location: This Papa John’s has burned a long-lasting humorous memory in my daughter’s mind...and a long-lasting memory of molten pizza on my leg. The pizza is so good. You know when it smells so good and the box Is warm on your lap. You have to sample. Against bodily well-being you still have to sample. Even though you know that first bite has the potential to pull all the liquid topping off and scald your tongue, lips, and chin in the process. I was aware of the swing to the chin. I dodged it with catlike reflexes...only to have molten pizza toppings fall onto my inner thigh. I don’t think I’ve ever screamed that loud. Of course my daughter is laughing hysterically in the backseat. “Daddy screamed like a girl.” She still laughs about it every time there is Papa John’s. All of that to say it’s fresh and hot. We were back again for another big order. Ordered online and order was ready as scheduled when we arrived. Our cashier even helped carry our order to the car. Thanks again."

"Read all the other reviews and then ordered anyway. I live in Orange Beach not Gulf Shores so that helps. My pizza arrived early and was delicious. I got the Shaq-a-roni for $13.99 deal!"
