"Stellar customer service! Paid a premium for one of 200 Bergara “Small Batch” M40s at a Sheels in Salt Lake City. The Scheels staff broke one of the latches on the included case. After not being able to find any spare latches for sale online I contacted Bergara who answered my email almost immediately. They asked for photos and then were willing to replace the latch completely for free including shipping. I responded with my mailing address but didn’t hear back or receive a package in ~2 months so I reached out again to touch base. Again, customer service responded within 24 hours and told me that they didn’t get my original mailing address email, but would send out TWO latches that day. I received the package at my off-grid cabin on the Montana/Canada border less than a week later."
"I have a B-14 HMR in 308 that shoots ~1.5 MOA 5-shot groups with the recommended match ammo. I told Bergara about it, they sent out a shipping label, and I shipped it out to them. They fired a couple 3-shot groups through the gun (one of which was 0.98 MOA) and sent the rifle back without touching it or even bothering to tell me they were sending it. I would have gladly paid them to do a more in-depth investigation but there was no communication whatsoever and I wasn't given that option. I was away on vacation when the person feeding our cat said we'd received multiple delivery failure notices from UPS. The rifle was nearly returned to sender. I had to pay UPS to hold it. When I got back from vacation, I was excited to see if they fixed the gun but was very let down when I saw that they simply noted that it met their accuracy guarantee (which it barely did with a 0.98 MOA 3-shot group...But sure...It did...technically...by 1/50th of an MOA...Which I'm sure could of gone the other way too), that they retorqued the action screws (which were already torqued to their spec with a calibrated torque wrench), and that's it. I was hoping maybe retorquing the action screws had helped somehow but, unsurprisingly, that did nothing and it shot just as poorly as before. Meanwhile, I have a Tikka CTR which costs ~the same and averages "
"Bought my last bergara. Picked up a B14 last week and when I went to mount a scope I noticed the picatinny rail wouldn't sit flat on the action. So I contacted bergara and they told me they haven't ever had that problem. Then later messaged me and said they had a shim that would fix it. They said that was the only fix they could do. I'm not a fan of having to put on shims to mount a scope on a new rifle. My gunsmith says it will need a new action to fix it."
"I bought a Bergara Premier Approach which is their custom shop line.... not cheap. Prints 2-2.5 MOA, and only goes bang about 90 percent of the time. I sent it in, almost six months later I get it back with a broken stock covered in sludge... it looked like it sat under their lathe for all six months. They did send me a new stock, but it still doesn't shoot the promised 1 MOA and I still get light strikes. Now they won't return my calls or emails. I am going to pay a gunsmith out of pocket to make my brand new $1800 rifle go bang every time I pull the trigger, then all three of my Bergaras are going on GB. They used to be great. a few years ago when I had an issue with my first Bergara, they solved it instantly."
"I had some damage to the stock of my B14 Timber. I was understandably upset as it seemed to just be the 1 in a 1,000,000 fluke that split it. Bergara got in contact with me very quickly and collected information to send a replacement. I’m happy with the fast and efficient customer support. I will continue to do business with them."
