"MILITARY FAMILIES DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!! If I could give this company a 0 star review I would. We were told that the month to month was literally month to month and we would be under no obligation for cancellations. That is exactly what we were told, after we explained we were military. Today I went into cancel and they said they are still going to charge me for the next month. Because there were in fact stipulations to cancel regardless that we were MONTH TO MONTH. Corporate does not care either. Do not give them your business. Shady company indeed"
"I'm not sure if the spelling of her name is correct, but Ansley was such a sweet and extremely helpful young lady. She was filling in and she did AMAZING!! I visited first time here on 9/29/19 @ 3:00pm. After she took care of me another customer came in she was extremely RUDE! She was yelling at Ansley so loud I could hear her. Please fellow tanners don't be rude to the employees!! I felt so sorry for Ansley. I watched her as she handled this lady very professionally and she did everything she could to accommodate this rude customer. Ansley thank you so much for all of your help!! You are awesome girl!!!"
"The reason I am giving this place a low rating was because I knew nothing about tanning but I went in here interested and asking about options. The lady overwhelmed me with a long sales pitch and all kinds of things she was trying to get me to buy in addition to just a service and I ended up leaving without getting anything because I felt bombarded with information and products. I would have felt better with an explanation of just service options, but instead she said if you want this service, you need to buy this lotion and this sock thing, etc. Not good for a first-time tanner."
"I have zero complaints about the equipment. The beds are extremely nice with maintained bulbs. My complaint is with the staff and overall lack of customer appreciation. I should not be asked every single time I go into any location whether or not I want to purchase lotion, what lotion I am currently using, whether or not they can see my current lotion I am using...etc. It gets to be an invasion of privacy and just an annoyance. I am not non-verbal and I can verbalize when I need to purchase lotion. Their lotions are extremely overpriced (compare their prices to any other local salon). When you earn a "free" spray tan, you shouldn't be expected to purchase boosters and/or other additives if you choose not to. They get very pushy and it's very forceful. Maybe they should pay their employees more so that they don't have to work so hard to get that 10 percent commission. This is every Palm Beach Tan location. Cancelling your membership is also a hassle because they try to talk you out of it and you have to go in person to cancel. Essentially, they try to make you feel as uncomfortable as they possibly can."
"This is not a complaint about the facilities, they are beautifully maintained and pristine. They make it really easy to sign up but cancelling is a nightmare. I moved from Augusta to Atlanta in September 2014 and forgot to stop by to cancel my account in person. I called the store and spoke to an employee and thought the account was closed. Palm Beach continued to charge my card, which I would dispute with my bank. After a few months, I called and spoke to the manager. Again, thought the situation was taken care of, but no. Then I sent a letter to the store manager, hoping that something with my physical signature would be enough to get it cancelled. Finally I contacted their corporate office who had their district manager call me. Not only was she rude and unhelpful, but she told me there was "no record" of me ever cancelling the account. She won't cancel my account until I pay the balance of charges and "late fees" that have built up over the last few months. If you are gonna sign up with these people, be prepared to fight for your right to cancel. What terrible customer service."
