"I love Robin Bennett, my massage therapist! I had to have a second massage this month due to an injury from a fall. She always opens her schedule for me! She offers earlier times when she has them, because she knows I like early times. She has come in on her days off!!! She goes out of her way to care for those who need care!!! She is the best part of my Lavida experience!!!"
"First time going to this place for a massage, and it was amazing. Nice staff and great products. The lobby area smells wonderful. I had Gretchen, and she was probably the best I have ever had. She did exactly what I asked for and was extremely nice and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!"
"32 weeks pregnant and I was so excited to get some back relief with a prenatal massage. I pulled in for my 6:30pm massage and no one was there, the lights were off, and the door was locked. I tried calling and no one answered and sent a message on facebook. Upon calling today I learned that my massage therapist had gone home early due to sickness... but no one called to let me know. The receptionist was far from apologetic and just said "she wasn't there so she doesn't know". Then she couldn't get me on the schedule for 5 more days. Ultimately have decided to cancel that appointment and am extremely disappointed."
"I had the best experience ever! I came in for a facial and massage, and my facial tech, Ashley, gave me the best I've ever had! I've had countless facials and never had one like this. She was detailed and caring, and truly nurturing to the specific needs of my skin. It made me enroll for the monthly subscriptions, and each time I've gone back to her it's got better and better. I love the products and what they do to my skin, I highly recommend. 10/10!!!"
"I have been a client at La Vida for around 2 years+. I have received facials and massages. At first it was consistently good- extremely busy and hard to book, but that I can understand. I joined their monthly membership, which is an automatic bank draft from your account. After about a year, I decided to discontinue that for a few reasons: In my personal experience, there’s a high turnover of employees. So, you get comfortable with someone and then they leave. I don’t know about you, but taking off my clothes and laying in a dark room with a stranger isn’t the massage or facial experience I want to recreate every time. The goal for me, is to establish safety with someone (or even 2 people) and then see them each time. Possibly the main issue, I think, is the significant disconnect between service providers in the back and the people that run the desk and handle scheduling up front. The folks at the desk act as the middle men for communication between clients and service providers. It’s become a regular occurrence for me to be scheduled with the wrong person or the wrong time after asking for and/or being told something completely different. And then to receive a call 1-2 days before my appointment with those surprise details. I strive to be a flexible, understanding client at any establishment I frequent. At this point, I feel it’s important to post my experience. Today I showed up to an appointment I made over a month+ ago at my *modified* appointment time (that I was notified of the change with yesterday) and when I arrived, I was told that my massage therapist left before I got there b/c she thought I was a “no-show”. Now, her leaving after waiting a predetermined length of time is completely valid and I want her to have the freedom to do that. Every time. That’s not the issue here for me. I am very bothered, however, that I held that appointment time on her book for over a month and *hired a babysitter* to be told to arrive after the therapist had left for the day. This is not the first time that the appointment time or service provider has been changed without my consent. It has become uncomfortable for me and it feels increasingly unorganized to me. I do not feel that I can trust them with automatic withdrawal from my bank account to maintain a membership. I hate sharing negative comments about any small business. As a single customer out of hundreds, it’s one of our only means to have our voice heard or influence any change. I hope this helps someone looking to try out La Vida or an existing client considering a monthly membership to make an informed decision and have realistic expectations for their experience here."
