Reviews of Jacobs Ladder Ed Childcare Center #1
"My daughter was going to this daycare for about two years. But when it came to potty training the teacher was sending my daughters clothes home with feces in them and when I took the problem to the director Lisa she told me that the teacher could not rinse the clothes out and she seemed not to care about my concern because it kept happening after I told her about the issue. So then I took the issue to state and once I did that my daughter was kicked out of the daycare because the center did not want to accept accountability for there wrong doing. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. When you bring your kid in the don’t get the kids they just sit there while you have to was your own kids hands for breakfast. And the director Lisa has a bad attitude and is very rude towards certain parents of color."
"My child was enrolled for roughly six months at the Gunn road location. He would cry when dropping him and I figured he was still adjusting. After a month or two I started to question why he was so upset when dropping him off since they SEEMED nice. He was in the toddler (1yo) room and constantly had different teachers. When I would pick him up there were times when I’d walk in and the kids would be sitting in the dark. Then he started coming home with a bite mark every now and then and nobody would have a report for me or any explanation whatsoever.” Didn’t even know he was bit!!” One day he came home with 3 bites and no one informed me AT ALL. I went to the daycare to let them know I was withdrawing him and notified them why. They confessed that they knew which child was doing the biting and said they’ve had multiple incidents with the same child. So obviously they don’t even follow their own policies in regards to biting. They seem great at first but this is definitely not how care for children!"
"Do NOT bring your children here, unless you dont mind them being horribly mistreated by staff. A friend of mines son had BLEACH in his hair and hes only two months old. (It was also found on thr first outfit he was brought there in. Why is bleach around a two month old at a daycare?!) When the director was told what happened, she just brushed it off. Hopefully this place is SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY."
"This center has some great qualities then there are some things that one should be mindful of as with any daycare. The first thing is to pay attention to your child physically, prior to them leaving. Yes, accidents happen, but if those working can't explain what took place or they're not honest, RED FLAG. Secondly, as parents, we know our children especially when we are the type of parent that's aware of the things our children do. With that being said, if your child has accidents several times on themselves, throughout the day or week, but this same behavior isn't seen at home, it could be they aren't being taken or they are made to wait while others are in the restroom. Don't just allow it to happen. They should definitely be taken to another restroom. Last, if, at any time, you feel unease, things aren't being properly communicated, you get to a point where you don't feel your child is receiving the proper tender, love, and care, relocate them. I can speak on each of these since I experienced them with this daycare. I have also experienced their clothes being lost: I also realized that the great reviews on facebook are not always fairly generated. This daycare offers a discount for giving them a great review on facebook. I will leave by saying this: Some may have nothing but great experiences with this center wheras some have things they were not too happy with that took place. If you place a child here, be very attentive to your child's behaviors especially when your child can't properly communicate things that may take place. Also, be leery of the post that may come behind this one stating all the great things about this center, not being familiar with any incidents, etc."
