Reviews of Bright New Beginning Learning
"Staff is rude. Owners are money hungry. I’ve had too many issues with the staff, especially regarding their lack of professionalism. I finally asked for the owner/ director’s number. The same staff members told me she didn’t have an office phone or email. ??? How??? I asked if they would have her call or email me, they called me instead saying,” The owner said is there something that I can help you with?” If there was then I would have asked you to assist me. My daughter is paying $65.00 a week for after school, which she has probably attended three times since 8/19. If I’m two hours late I have to pay a $30.00 late fee. That is predatory and targeting poor parents. A late fee is half of the original fee? Ok. I’ve always paid it. Been involved in every field trip, bring the most expensive items to all parties, so the weight isn’t on the poor, hardworking teachers. I even donate cases of Kleenex, Clorox wipes, and any supplies that her class never seem to have, then get talked to like trash by the loud, ghetto woman in the front. No thank you."
"I had high hopes for this place. My mother and I enrolled my nephew into this school. He’s been there for about 2 months, the payments were beginning to be a little overwhelming for us so we agreed that we would take him out before Christmas and after the New Years re-enroll him if we don’t find a more affordable school. School said in order to withdraw him we had to have a letter of withdrawal of when we’ll be taking him out. Initially the letter said the 7th, but right before we gave the letter to school I decided that I could cover his tuition until the 21st so I had my husband cross out the 7th and put the 21st and to sign and initial next to the change. My mom went to the school and brought the letter and they even called me to verify they date changed. My mom don’t speak or understand English that well so there are times she’ll agree to something thinking you’re saying something totally different. I made the school aware of that and inform them they need to call me or my husband when it comes to my nephew. Fast forward December 7th comes along and they give my mom everything saying it was my nephews last day. I only come home on weekends due to where I’m stationed so when I came home and saw all him stuff I was confused. By that time the school was already closed so I called and left a voicemail saying there was clearly a confusion and they need to refer back to the letter that states his last day is in the 21st and he will be in school Monday morning. Monday comes and she tries to bring him to school and they turn her away stating that another child already had my nephews seat. There was additional back and forth between myself and the teacher, but it’s a waste a time repeating a conversation with a teacher who kept using the word “conversate” (the word is converse). She said she would call me back and never did. Doesn’t matter because I’d never bring my him back to this place or recommend it to anyone else. I come to say this: THIS IS WHY WE HAVE A HARD TIME SUPPORTING BLACK BUSINESSES. THEY NEVER TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES. AND THEY LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. THEY’RE DISMISSIVE OF CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM."
"My son is eight years old. He attended this school when he was an infant until he was almost two. This school is amazing! Such a nice loving environment. Mrs. Shawn was his first teacher and I have never forgotten her. She set the foundation for my child. The amount of knowledge he had when he left this school was beyond my expectations. He was only 18 months!. This school is absolutely God Sent!"
"I can't say enough great things about this school! Ms. Betty is the sweeties mother figure. Ms. Nikki operates this school very well. Ms. Lasagna always has a smile. Ms. Tonya & Ms. BreAnna the pre-k teachers AMAZING. My son left this school beyond prepared for elementary school. He is reading, solving match problems, understands science, and much more. This team here really dedicate themselves to teaching. Parents you too have to show your dedication. Be involved with your kids. THey will have several projects, and homework on a weekly basis. Thank you BNB for everything!"
