"DO NOT GO HERE!! I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE. As soon as me and my friends walked in the door he let it be known only six people aloud in the store and no cell phones, me and my friends acknowledged that’s and respected that by putting all devices away. Soon after we walked around the store and came across a doll in the back left of the store, a sign that reads “no touching”. We did as told but soon got a really big wave of negative energy so strong that we all felt like we were going to faint and let the same employee in the store know that we were not comfortable he then rudely told us to leave not acknowledging r thoughts or feelings about his store as a customer. What we thought was a doll turned out to be a puppet and he let that be known in a very very rude tone. Verbally telling us “you do not want to make her angry so leave ”- (describing the puppet) and continued to tell us that the puppet was going to haunt us and that we were bothering her. Idk if that was a threat or statement but it was very much not needed. Don’t come here u less u want a horrible interaction Also has a terrible terrible British accent that is obviously FAKE."
"Please read all the reviews before going here. I had the exact same experience of being told not to use my phone in this store. I did not appreciate the vibe of this place and I don’t ever return to places that make their customers feel like we are not valued. This place makes you feel like you should feel privileged to enter their space. There is no explanation of why we can’t talk on the phone nor do I care to know if the employee decides to respond back to this review. I had a family member call me in the store (which I answered) and was told no phones allowed. I will always prioritize answering the phone for family instead of following a store policy that has no reasonable explanation. also, the items I saw in the store in my opinion were not even worth taking a picture of and that was the absolute last thing on my mind. The items in here are not even original where they need to have no cellphones. All of the incense in here can be found throughout different shops in little 5 points, literally the exact same ones, again nothing original. Word of advice - respect your customers and maybe you will stay in business. I have seen a lot of turnover in L5P because of similar vibes in the store where people do not feel welcome. Business is about relationships, make people feel good and they will return & refer. Word of mouth is the best advertising. However due to the extremely poor experience, I will never bring people to this store, ever again. Learn how to treat people and remember we are in a free country. Generally speaking, people don’t like to be told what to do, especially when not given a logical explanation."
"Unfortunately, the customer service makes this place unpleasant to enter or stay in. The "matter of fact" nature the owner has makes it hard to focus on the store itself. The act the owner puts on is unique, however, the accent/impersonation makes it difficult for people to understand what's being said, on top of the loud music. When entering the store, the door was held open, therefore I was unable to read any signage that was placed on the front that indicated no phones. Unknowingly, I took my phone out to take a photo, and immediately get snapped at by the owner and demanded I come to the counter to watch me delete the photo. Owner proceeded to be extremely passive aggressive. With all honesty, this made me feel like a mutt being called over. I don't think this is an ideal route to take - especially when you have guests coming in & out with intentions of spending money at the store. I'm not sure what the owner prioritizes more, the customer service, or keeping up with the ambiance of the store; whatever it is, the customer service needs to be worked on heavily. Understandably, there is a sign on the door before entering that says no phones. Just in my situation, there was no way of knowing about it. If you do plan to swing by, make sure you read all the signs etc."
"Upon entering the establishment, the energy is very dark. I was then greeted by a tall man in a top hat. With no offensive to anything to fellow Englishmen, the employee spoke with probably the worst British accent impersonation ever. While I like to believe he was explaining store policies, he was almost inaudible due the impersonation. At the time, I assumed (which is my own fault for assuming) he only said “welcome, let me know if you need anything”. I nodded and carried on. Moments later my phone goes off, and so does the employee. “Come here, and put your phone away”. Never in my life has someone addressed me as if I were a dog. The employee begins to explain about the policy and how he “verbally” said no phones. I had nothing to say and exited the store. I’d give this no stars if I could. I wouldn’t even wish for my enemies to spend more than 5min in this store. If you’re looking to spend money, I’d give your handout to a homeless person."
"I loved it!!! So we seen the ? sign but they weren’t there so I said I Must Come Back, and I did! The owner is eccentric and amazing I loved that he got on us all for our phones because many times it’s hard to take things in with your phone glued to us. The energy was great and I really enjoyed the ambiance. The staff had fingers full of jewelry and it was AMAZING, also his laugh. Found this amazing specimen that drew me in like a vortex!! "
