Reviews
"Very nice jewelry and service too."
"Excellent service and magnificent hand engraving. I can't say enough to say how wonderful this store is and how John Franciscus Zonneveld is such a master hand engraver!"
"I got some silver cufflinks from LJ Lewis Silver some time ago. Lana, who runs the store is very professional and good fun to talk to. John Franciscus, the in house hand engraver is incredible. He has a level of skill that just doesn’t exist anymore, I’ve never understood how anyone can make letters exactly the same size and font and write line after line perfectly straight. It’s incredible to watch him work. 5/5 stars!"
"I went to LJ Lewis Silver and they helped me select gifts for a number of weddings in 2015 and 2016; I was happy to find unique silver and pewter objects that I had personalized for the couples with hand-engraving done there by John Franciscus, who is a master at what he does. I can't think of another store like this in or near metro Atlanta where you can get heirloom gifts like this for $250 or less."
"I went to get a small locket engraved. Not too many options for this kind of work in atlanta, but I will look for a different place next time. The woman I spoke to was curt, and gave me attitude when I asked for a fixed quote on my engraving request. She just offered a ballpark figure, "depending on how long it takes". Is that really how this business works? When i called on the phone she said $25, but when I got there it was suddenly $45. Super shady. The actual engraver, John, seemed nice enough, but when I picked up the locked I noticed scratches on the face that were visible to the naked eye. They looked under a magnifying glass and denied seeing anything. They are somewhat older, and may have been telling the truth, but in that case it'd be nice to take a customer at their word that they see scratches. Instead they said it's "what you get with hand engraving", and that "if I was going to be so picky I should have gone to a machine engraver". In the end I just paid and thanked them, but I won't be going back."
