Reviews of Amada Tapas & Wine
"In the world of tapas, where the distinction between authentic and ordinary is often blurred, Amada emerges as a true gem, especially in a quaint locale like Chattanooga. The essence of genuine tapas isn't just about serving food on small plates; it's an art that Amada has mastered with its commitment to freshness and quality. A standout example is their Octopus dish, which our server informed us arrives within 24 hours of being caught off the coasts of Spain – a testament to their dedication to fresh, high-quality ingredients. What truly enhances the dining experience at Amada is the thoughtfully curated wine list. While it may seem limited at first glance, each selection complements the menu beautifully, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. Moreover, their Wednesday special – half-price bottles – is a delightful surprise, making even the most luxurious wines accessible. Amada's ambiance adds to its charm, creating the perfect backdrop for an evening of indulging in wonderful small plates and fine wine."
"Our dining experience at Amada Tapas & Wine was truly remarkable, enchanting us right from the start. Its tranquil ambiance, marked by warm, beautiful décor and natural plants, was a delightful setting for a memorable date night. Service was splendid; our server was attentive, personable, and knowledgeable, substantially enhancing our experience. Amada boasts an extensive wine selection accomodating all tastes, and the tapas plates we chose were beyond delicious. The shrimp was succulent, perfectly seasoned, capturing the essence of Spanish cuisine; the croquettes were a comforting delight, crispy outside with a melt-in-your-mouth interior. I would highly recommend Amada Tapas & Wine to anyone seeking a captivating, gastronomic experience with superior service and a convivial atmosphere."
"Great atmosphere that reminds us of being in the rain forest. The service was great and timely! Overall the food was good but we did have some small critiques to make it great. The libations were also good with some interesting flavor profiles. We LOVE grilled octopus and thought it could have been grilled a little bit more to intensify the flavor. The sauce that came with need some heat and acidity. The egg plant was good (we did get this on the house due to a misorder from another table) but thought it could use some spicy to balance out the sweet new of the glaze. The steak tataki needed some acidity and/or heat. The seared salmon, carpaccio, asparagus, crab cakes and street corn were all great! For dessert we had the pear empanada which we thought was not good. It tasted of fry oil and the filling was gray and tasteless, with no pear flavor. You will need to park on the street but beware of where you park as most of its paid parking except for Sundays."
"Really enjoyed our date night here. The tapas were all great and we really enjoyed our drinks. The service was top notch and the vibe of the restaurant is great. I would definitely order the pulpo again, but I can't wait to go back and order some more dishes that we haven't tried yet."
"This is the cutest place with decor that is definitely suitable for a date night. My waitress was kind and offered great recommendations because I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted to try. I started with the elderberry g&t which was refreshing for a hot day. Next, I ordered crab cakes. While small, they were packed with rich flavors and crab of course! Lastly, I got the shishito peppers and octopus. That octopus is worth a shot, especially if you've never tried it and are curious. The flavors made me say "wow" when I took my first bite. Also, the cook on the octopus was spot on meaning they didn't turn them into tires lol. I will most certainly return as there are more items I'd love to try!"
