"I do not recommending buying from Shaw floors Date Installed: 12-2018 | Date problem(s) Noticed: 6-2020 | Repairs: No stated the following: - The installation started on 1/9/2017 - The oor is installed oating method. - Floor tends to separate at joints in the hallway, living room, and kitchen and he kicks them back together. - Swelled end joints in the hallway, living room, nook, and kitchen. - They use Rejuvenate and Ecosense oor polish to clean the oor. Observations: -2 story house with a paved road and a concrete driveway. - Slab -. - Swelled end joints in Hallway, kitchen, living room and nook were observed. - Gaps- End joints in Hallway, Kitchen, and living room were observed. - From the foyer to the kitchen the oor has some minor dips and raised areas. Within tolerance. - The spacing of plank to the baseboard in the hallway, kitchen, and living room in areas were 1 1/2'' to 2'' wide causing the plank to disengage the locking mechanism. - There are no signs of scratches or abrasions in any area. - There are signs of topical moisture or chemical damage. - No attic stock at the time of this inspection. Applicable Field Tests: Moisture Content: @ 3/4'' depth- 6 %to 7. % | Meter used: Floor-Dot| Non-Invasive Tests Indoor Temperature: 74 | Relative Humidity: 54 % Floor temp- Sunlight-73 / Shade-74 Fahrenheit at oor level. Baseboard moisture- measured 8% Conclusion: - The swelling of the end joints is consistent with Topical moisture and is not manufacturing related. - Gapping- Too much spacing between the plank and baseboard is causing the planks to disengage and separate when walked on and causing the gaps and is not manufacturing related"
