"Had an unfortunate situation at my rental property. Fridge went out. Joe came out and hooked me up. Excellent customer service. Replaced it with a gently used model. 1 year warranty also. He hauled away the old one too. Can't say enough nice things about this company. If you need appliance repair this is the company to call."
"Nice enough guys but unfortunately can't recommend using them. Took a good three weeks with numerous follow-ups and postponements due to not being in the area to get to our place to fix a leaking dishwasher. Ok I understand they are busy. However, when they Rick finally was able to come he put back on the rubber sealant and it still leaked. Had them back over for yet another $150 charge and was given 1.5 hours notice with no advanced head up on which day. We were out of town and raced to get a neighbor over the day before Thanksgiving to replicate the leak because we were told he couldn't stick around to see where it was coming from. Receipt stated for the first visit "checked for all leaks." Seemed like we should be lucky they even came back to fit us in. Save your money and just buy a new appliance. Wasted $300."
"Called Joe Rappaport because a co-worker recommended him. He fixed my freezer but broke the ice maker. When I called to complain I was told on several occasions that he would return to fix it. This was on September 13, I am writing this review on October 13. I will not recommend this business."
"We had a positive experience with Jay's Appliance company until our most recent issue. We called Richard, the technician, who ordered a part but took longer than expected to schedule the repair. We couldn't reach Richard on the appointment day and had to speak to Jay, the owner of the company. Jay was unaware of the work order, but said he would handle it. Richard then angrily called us, accusing us of going over his head, was combative and condescending on the phone to the point of harassment. This behavior was highly unprofessional. When we called Jay to resolve the issue and request another technician, he talked over us and blamed us for communicating with his technician instead of him. We explained that we did so on the technician's advice, but Jay refused to acknowledge Richard's unprofessional complaint or take any responsibility for the situation. Jay's Appliance offers good service when things are going well, but refuses to take responsibility when issues arise. We won't be using them again. Richard didn't provide any discounts or incentives for choosing to call him directly instead of the office. We assumed he may receive a commission for repeat business."
"Scheduled appointment on the 4th of January service was not completed until about 10 days later. The technician was slothful, uncommunicative, and late! Fixed the problem but left the back panel off dryer. Had to come back to reinstall. Charged a fee for using credit card. Not advised of this charge until AFTER service had been performed. Charge hit credit card statement in the name of the owner - embezzlement?? Still have not received my receipt. Used washer after repair, now drum is exposed. Never before has this happened until Appliance Services touched my unit, even after 7 years and three moves later (see attached picture). Filed claim with BBB because I want my receipt and the front panel reinstalled - no response. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!"
