"They cancelled on me 3 times in 3 days - many hours after my scheduled appointment. I finally just cancelled it and will be taking my business elsewhere. It seemed like a "local" company, but was talking to a large, national call center. I am already mentally prepared to have to fight my credit card company for the $85 hold.. "Same experience as previous reviewer. I was given an appointment time from 10 to 12, and told they need a credit card number just for their file, and wouldn’t be charged until after they came. I was then charged the $85 before anyone even came to my home. A technician called me at 9:30 PM because he didn’t understand what I needed done (we have small kids, WAY to late to make a business call). By 11:30 the next day no one had called to tell me they were coming. I called, and was told my appointment was from 12 to 4. Said I needed to cancel I needed a refund. They told me my card had not been charged and I had misunderstood. Had to raise holy hell to get it taken off of my card. Customer service extremely rude. I never leave a bad review! I mean ever. But that was unacceptable."
"Beware! I called these guys because it appeared to be a local company. instead it is a national dispatching business called "Appliance Repair Men." I was told a service call would be $85 but would be applied to the repair charge if I went ahead with the repair. Instead the $85 was charged on top of the company's regular labor and parts fees. They now tell me that this is their policy but it was clearly misrepresented. I was required to give them a credit card to reserve the appointment and this is what they charged the fee to. They specifically told me nothing would be charged to the card but did it anyway. Check the Better Business Bureau. They have an Alert issued on these guys due to a large number of complaints. I hope I saved some of you some money by avoiding these scammers."
"Very poor experience. They said the service charge was $55.00. They did not tell me the service charge was $55.00 per appliance. I had told them I had three possibly four appliances to look at. The work order said $110.00 and they tried to charge me $160.00, when they quoted $55.00. My appointment was between 8-11, I called at 11:15 because they did not arrive yet they said someone would arrive in 45 minutes that the technician was delayed at another site. At 1pm the technician called and said I had cancelled I did I not. When he arrived he could only fix one of the four appliances and wanted to charge me $160.00 service charge on top of the repair. I could not reach the company and he would not wait for me to get an answer on the service charge discrepancy. Ask 8 hours wasted and nothing is fixed. I do not recommend this company."
"I selected this company based on their proximity to my home and the fact they appeared to be a local company. Possibly the worst customer service ever!!! First tech had car trouble so my appointment was switch from Wednesday afternoon to Friday morning. After waiting all morning I called the call center at 11:13 to inquire as to how much longer and explained I was at home. At 11:46 the service tech called and left a rude message that I was to be available for his call. I promptly called back and was reprimanded again and then hung up on. After two more calls he informed me it would be another 1.5 hours or approximately 2pm. I called the call center again and spoke to a supervisor who explained I was at fault. When I inquired as to why I should give them my business after the rudeness there was no reply or offer to make things right. The supervisor identified Winston as the service tech and she would have a "talk" with him. At 3pm Winston finally showed. He turned the dishwasher off and on and looked under the sink. He the said I needed to pay $80 for the service call even though he didn't explain what was wrong until asked. I asked for a receipt which he couldn't provide and was told "they" would send it to me. I signed the invoice under duress as I was very uncomfortable and alone with Winston in my home. I then promptly called customer service again and was told sorry there was nothing they could do but a supervisor would call me back. (No call yet). After checking my amex I discovered this was not a local company but a SHAM. The billing address is TEMPE ARIZONA!!! Needless to say I do NOT recommend them AND if you do call them don't be home alone."
