Reviews of Centennial Place Apartment Homes
"Leasing office went above and beyond to help me find a place to live and complete the application process on extremely short notice. Maria was extremely transparent throughout the process, was available and reachable every day of the week, and always responded to my questions promptly and respectfully. I highly recommend choosing Centennial Place because of her."
"Do not rent here! My grandmother has been a resident for the last 7 years. We have never had an issue until last year. Her AC has been broken the ENTIRE summer..Not to mention last winter, the heat was not working. I have reached out to management and maintenance continuously and the issue has still not been resolved. This is only a fraction of the issues we’ve been experiencing. The community is poorly managed and something seriously needs to be done. No one, let alone an 86 year old person should live under these conditions. Months later and the issue was never addressed. Now we are in winter and without heat. We’ve contacted the emergency maintenance line several times only to have someone call back at 9pm promising to get by within an hour. Of course no one showed up. The manager quickly responded to this review but it’s impossible to actually speak with her. I honestly have never seen such an incompetent leasing staff in my entire life."
"I’ve lived here since 2019 I enjoy my apartment at Centennial Place I have a one bedroom with plenty of space I like the set up of these apartments. I would recommend these apartments because this area is in the heart of ATL. where a lot of events to see and go to such as Centennial Park, The Aquarium, State Farm Area, Mercedes Benz Stadium, etc. within walking distance plus public transportation Marta Buses. This complex is bright lights at night and cameras for our safety. I only wish that maintenance would respond to work orders faster and complete them promptly. I’m going to renew my lease again. It’s a clean complex and no hanging out in the streets allowed."
"I have been a resident over 20 years . Upon Management downsizing my unit I was promised an updated and newly renovated apartment to no avail. Instead I was pushed and rushed into a unit with used appliances, old but shampooed carpet, squeaking and broken subfloor wood under the carpet and an old mildew washer and dryer unit. Currently I have a leaking ceiling and every time it rain, it rain inside my unit for months now. My hot water heater is not working. Recent as a week ago my unit was inspected by the community coordinator whom is supposed to help and promised to get the ball rolling on repairs with management. I haven’t gotten any assistance on anything I requested for repairs. This place is horrible on being responsible as well respectful as you probably have read other reviews. My unit is well kept and rent is paid timely. Corporate is unresponsive with no follow-up or care. Now I’m deeply worried since nothing else will get fixed, how long will it be without hot running water and the burning smell from the hot water heater!!! The service here over time has gotten worse."
"I do NOT recommend leasing from this complex. The buildings are poorly maintained, and the staff is extremely unprofessional. The following anecdote drives these points home: I had been out of town since September 2022, and my sister had been checking in on my apartment. On November 22, 2022, she found part of the ceiling cut out above the kitchen sink. At no point did the leasing office inform me about this, even though all functioning apartment complexes should notify their residents of ANY modifications to their living quarters—especially if it's a big gaping hole in the ceiling. When I called the leasing office about this, they claimed to have no idea what happened, instilling zero confidence in their ability to manage the complex. They also claimed they lost their key to the unit, so my sister gave them her copy to let the repairman into the apartment. But if they had lost the key, that begs the question: How did Maintenance enter the apartment to cut up my ceiling in the first place??? Then to make matters worse, the repairman came to fix the ceiling BUT DID NOT CLEAN UP AFTER HIMSELF. My sister was in the apartment to monitor the repair. When she inquired about the mess, the repairman told her I would have to call the leasing office to request cleaners. I called and emailed multiple times from late November to mid-February. Every time, someone from the office assured me they would send cleaners—but my sister would check on the apartment to find the mess still there. After months of calling and emailing, someone finally directed me to the community's assistant managers, and I dealt with one of the most unprofessional leasing "professionals" I've ever met. First, this individual tried to gaslight me when I recapped everything along with photographic evidence by stating that the issue I brought up was from "two months ago" and "typically our contractors clean up after any repairs that are made." Secondly, this individual did not apologize—which was especially rude, considering this ongoing incident should not have happened in the first place AND took several months to resolve. And finally, this individual's communication skills were almost nonexistent. I had clearly stated that I would like the cleaners to come "as soon as possible," and they had the gall to follow up with "when would you like for the cleaners to come?" After several frustrating email exchanges, this individual tells me he is sending cleaners to my unit. Since this had been an ongoing issue and I was still out of town, I asked for photos to prove that the area had finally been cleaned and made it clear that I expected to receive them by the end of the workday—a reasonable request considering the circumstances. I NEVER RECEIVED SAID PHOTOS. For all I knew, this individual could have lied about the cleaners, failing to deliver on their promise. After months of dealing with the same issue, I wouldn't have been surprised if this was the case. TLDR: Don't lease from this place—the staff is incompetent, and judging by the other recent reviews, there's a litany of other sketchy things happening here. UPDATE: Moving out was also a headache. I never received move-out instructions from the leasing office, even though I sent my notice months in advance. When I called, one of the leasing agents informed me the apartment's management does NOT send out move-out instructions (again, failing to perform a standard practice) and continues to charge rent if the people moving out don't turn their keys in on time. So I emailed the Assistant Community Manager to confirm my lease end date but never received a response. My advice? If you plan to vacate your unit, get all correspondence with the leasing office in writing (email instead of call), turn off autopay if you have it on, and delete your bank information from the resident portal before you turn in your keys."
