Reviews of Marquis Midtown District
"I recently moved to Marquis Midtown District, and my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. Within just a month, my car was broken into not once, but twice. The lack of empathy from the staff was absolutely disgusting. When I reached out for support, I was essentially told that car break-ins are par for the course in Atlanta, which is not the kind of response one expects from a property management team. One major concern is the absence of security cameras on the property. In this day and age, it's astonishing that a residential complex doesn't prioritize the safety of its residents by investing in basic security measures. This lack of surveillance undoubtedly contributes to the recurring incidents. Moreover, the state of cleanliness in the parking garage is subpar. There's always trash on the floors, creating an unsightly and potentially hazardous environment. Additionally, finding dog feces within the building is simply unacceptable. It reflects a lack of responsibility on both the part of the residents and the management. Considering my experience, I cannot recommend Marquis Midtown District to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable living environment. The combination of security issues, unresponsive staff, and cleanliness concerns makes this place far from ideal. Look elsewhere for a more secure and resident-friendly community. Please do not leave a customer service number to call. Obviously there is no accountability which is why all comments are the same!!"
"I moved in a week ago and I must say that I'm happy with my move. Lacina Jackson definitely helped things go smooth. Whenever I needed something done it was done the within 24 hrs. Hope this hospitality continues"
"Yeah definitely not happy with this place and cannot wait until my lease ends which is only a few months away. One, it is crazy that guests have to pay for parking per day. Two, your water bill should be based on what you consume however you also pay for common area building water usage so you are looking at around $150 a month on the water bill. It is more than what is paid at a normal house which is crazy. Third, the alarms are constantly going off and hallways at times are dirty with trash and the chutes filled up over the weekends."
"Long Term Leaser's Honest Review My wife and I moved into our apartment here in May of 2021 and we will be here for more than 3 years before our next lease cycle is up. This is an honest review for anyone looking at this apartment and wants to know more about it besides the quality of the tours that go on. The Pros Location - very easy access to the highway and it's tucked off on a dead end street so you're not going to have a crazy amount of through traffic. The Actual Apartment Unit - Its well built with high ceilings, a fair amount of space, walk in closet, laundry room, and a nice little patio. We haven't had anything serious break on us either. Gated Courtyards - We have a dog so it's nice to be able to take him out in an area that's still gated and off limits to outsiders. The Gym - has all the essentials, but the weight room was built over the leasing office and they tend to get upset if you're doing any sort of jumping exercise. Poor design in my opinion. The Cons Management - I mean it's kind of like most Atlanta apartment complexes, they don't really care about you once they get you into a unit. They're only objective is to fill units not keep the folks in the units. We've seen a lot of turnover over the past three years. We've also been here long enough to see a complete overhaul of the staff. I will admit the new leasing manager is better than the old, but only slightly. It's like pulling teeth to get things done - be prepared to go into the office because emails ain't gonna cut it. Parking - When we first moved in guest had to register their cars but it was free to park. However, about 2 years ago they made the shift to paid parking. Now guests must pay an $8 flat fee to park outside leasing office hours. It doesn't matter if your guest is there for an hour or all night it's $8. It definitely makes it difficult to justify having guest come over or out of town family knowing they'll be paying $20+ to spend the weekend. Also if you're dating someone, this system is not plausible for you. Look elsewhere. Residents - Honestly most folks are fine, but I have seen individuals walking around the parking garage with guns. I'll just put it this way, if the guns stuck in your pants and the barrel of your gun is pointed down into your mid region, your probably not the responsible type who should be owning a gun. The younger folks can be loud and oblivious to the hour of night. Most nights it's not a problem, but noise is enough of a problem for me to mention it. Also residents tend to leave trash wherever they please and management doesn't come around and pick it up. Fire Alarms - This is a Marquis Midtown Classic. While the fire alarm system has been better the past year now. Before that we went 3 straight months were it went off multiple times every night in the middle of the night. I inclined multiple times on how they were looking to resolve the issue, but they never gave a straight answer. It became very apparent that they had no idea what to do or how to solve the problem efficiently. To this day the alarm goes off more than any other apartment I've lived at. When it's not going hay-wire expect it to go off 5 to 6 times a year. Extra Billings - About three months ago management started charging us an additional water and waste bill for the community. This additional charge is roughly $60 extra a month. Now Marquis is allowed to do this according to the lease, but it's shady business to start this in the middle of a lease without notice or an announcement. Had we know this would be implemented before resigning we would have probably looked to move on. When I confronted the office, the assistant leasing office manager wouldn't come out of the back to chat and just printed the lease and shoved it in my face. Unfortunately, customer service is not priority. Prices for this loyal resident started at $1475 a month with fees in 2021 I now pay $1810 a month with fees. The price has gone up but quality has fallen. Be cautious moving here, but to be fair there's far worse around Atlanta."
"Toured the property today with Nehemiah and loved the it. He was courteous and took his time, answered all my questions. The apartments are spacious, the grounds are kept. The amenities are up to date. Will definitely be making a decision soon."
