"Never knew what time or if they were going to show up. when they did show up they left their trash all inside and around the property. They cut corners, do very poor sloppy work & constantly apologize. The waterproofing they performed failed so I still have to replace some of the dry wall that they already replaced and I need an electrician to secure all the outlets on the walls that they replace because they put them covers on but not secured to the wall. Save yourself the headache."
"Great work, great service...AJ's staff are very professional..I highly recommend.."
"Due to recent water damage, the need for a drywall contractor was pretty urgent. The owners came out promptly to assess the job and provided a quote a few days later. Based on the positive interactions and communication we'd had thus far, I chose to go with them. The ETA provided was 5 days which was acceptable. The first 4 days were fine and the workers worked around my schedule as needed and requested. On the fourth day which was on a Friday, I was advised that the 5th day will be needed to complete the work and guarantee it's done correctly which was totally understandable. Unfortunately, I was told there was another job scheduled on Saturday so I had to wait until Monday for it be done. It came across as if my project was not as important, but I did agree to let them come and finish Monday morning since I was guaranteed the job wouldn't take longer than 90 minutes. I requested that the contractors show up by 7am to guarantee that they would be done and gone by 9am, as other contractors were already scheduled for later times for other projects and I did not want them overlapping. The contractors were present at approximately 7:40am and took closer to 2 hours. This was later and longer than expected. One of the workers did see me distressed as I had flooring delivered and offered to bring it in my home. This was something he didn't have to do and this was a profound moment during this process. He said he just wanted to get things back on track and his attitude was always pleasant and I wish he was the head of the project. By this point the project was considered complete, but I noticed all of the door trim was missing. I inquired about it and was told bluntly it was not included in the original quote. I became extremely frustrated and voiced this. This was admittedly an oversight on their behalf and I was advised they would replace it for free. It had now been a week since the project started and I just wanted everything initially discussed to be fixed from the very beginning. I agreed to allow them to rectify the door trim for the following day. Since I have cameras around my home, I could see and hear a worker outside who appeared a bit frustrated with me as well. The workers left my home without any notice, walk throughs, or final conversation. It was both uncomfortable and disrespectful. Although the owner apologized and offered to have the trim done, I declined and cancelled any further work appointments as I no longer wanted to deal with the lack of professionalism. These oversights cost me unnecessary time and money to get corrected. It was very disheartening as the job started off great. Unfortunately, I was terribly disappointed in the end and felt my business was not appreciated or valued. I paid the remainder of the balance, but I wish I had spent my time and money elsewhere. In the future, it would be great to do a thorough walk through to ensure the job is actually completed and not just have someone tell you so and rush out the door. This project was considered finished."
