"We're really impressed with Jamie, the new maintenance supervisor, and Brandon and Caleb in the front office. When we recently had to put in an emergency maintenance call at 6:00 a.m. because we woke up and found water rapidly dripping from our ceiling, Jamie arrived quickly to personally check it out. He had roofers here that afternoon to fix the roof, and scheduled ceiling repair people for the next day. That crew did a great job and left our apartment clean and tidy, despite having to literally cut out and replace a section of the ceiling and the insulation above it... a very messy repair! Then, the painter arrived when we were told they would be here the following day and completed the job. Each day, Brandon checked in from the office to make sure everything was going well, and it did."
"Caleb the property manager, the maintenance staff, especially Jaime(new guy) are nice and professional. However, Brandon has been dismissive, condescending and outright dishonest about an ongoing maintenance request that was ignored until I reached out the following month. It really sucks to come 'home' to a place where you feel like the staff are so dismissive to basic needs. A plastic bag was left outside my door and within hours I received a $75 dollar penalty notice. Yet a broken heater is left ignored unless you hound the staff. It's not a fun process for anybody. Overall, my impression is this place cares about nickel and diming rather than cultivating an actual community."
"I have had an amazingly smooth and fun experience with the leasing office. They answered all of my questions. I toured two apartments that I was interested in and they always answer my calls and e-mails. Love the people who work in the leasing office!"
"Not having a great time with a dripping utility closet that’s causing our floor to be constantly flood and causing mildew to grow on the door for 3 weeks. Gate is still broken and constantly open too. Edit: management is strict on how many plants you have on your balcony and will slap a $100 fine but don’t care about your living conditions at all. They will nickle and dime you to death. Please be cautious. The rent may be cheap but the health hazards and bad management that comes with living here isn’t worth it."
"Last year, Arlington Properties took ownership of the complex as my roommate and I were moving in. AP made a lot of improvements in a short time and were always responsive to our questions and concerns, unlike the initial company we were previously dealing with. Every the PC said a unit was ready, we arrived to roaches and cigarette smoke coming through the walls. Luckily, by the time a unit that was manageable was available, AP turned the ship around. Maintenance handled all of the issues within the first few weeks and were prompt with subsequent work orders. The complex has a lot of natural light and well-placed street lamps (highly recommend installing curtains if you work a night job like me). My roommate and I were aware of a claim of a car being broken into, but we were either lucky to never have had any issues or the break in was an isolated incident. In any event, the courtesy officers were quick to answer the phone on the one occasion I called them (some people were super loud in the parking lot on a week night/early morning for about three hours; they literally disbanded as soon as I made the call, it was weird). Point is, we felt safe enough. I'm mainly giving this five stars just for the staff and how quickly problems were addressed. The unit we were in was nice but the kitchen was a little cramped for the two of us (we were living in a classic so no renovations). The main reason we moved out was to be closer to our work, but we both think fondly of our time there. The complex was still renovating when we departed but the plans sounded nice. In the early days of living at the complex, I observed a falcon building a nest in the trees near the north side. I doubt it's still there but it was a pretty cool thing."
