"UPDATE: Management reached out to me after i what happened, Janice was Extremely helpful, she helped me to find a villa that worked for me, we negotiate and i was able to move in a timely manner. Thanks Janice, she truly understood the situation and helped me resolve it. The difficulties with this apartment complex started on the application process. I liked what i saw on the tour, so i decided to apply. But little that i knew, the apartments they show as “AVAILABLE”, in reality are either taken or not ready. They told me that AFTER APPLYING, PAYING THE ADMIN FEE AND DEPOSIT. They tried to “make it right” by offering another apartment which was not even the same square footage and was in a vandalized building; which they said “it was during remodeling” and had plywood instead of sliding door for the balcony, and broken glasses all over the second floor’s balcony. They do not reach to me, i always have to call to check on my application status, which i do daily because i need to move, but the couldn’t care less about that. I was supposed to be moving this week, but was applying for an apartment that is probably taken to begin with. Their website is useless, the management and the people assisting with the application are not helpful, they do not inform you truthfully and their communication is ineffective. I WANT TO HAVE ALL MY MONEY BACK, I did agree on paying an admin fee that was supposed to be nonrefundable, but I DID NOT KNOW THAT THERE WAS NO UNITS AVAILABLE!! This place just want your money and nothing else."
"I've resided on this property for 10 years and witnessed multiple property management companies (Good, Bad, and Ugly) come and go. This 5-star review speaks directly to the current management and staff. I am very pleased with how Ms. Bernadette and her team are handling such a large community (almost 1,000 units). While there are some delays and difficulties, most are caused by or exacerbated by the tenants. With a little patience, common sense, and courtesy, this is a nice community to live in. While the mindset and caliber of the tenants (in general) have improved dramatically over the past decade, there is still room for improvement (trash/debris on the property, security gates frequently broken, etc...). Again, this reflects the community NOT property management."
"Expressing my dissatisfaction with East Ponce Village apartment complex is the last thing that I honestly wanted to do but they leave me no choice. I was extremely excited to move here in January of last year and got everything I expected in the beginning until things got bad. And went from bad to worse. I have experienced multiple floods, about seven times that I can count, in the original unit that I was in on the ground floor every time it rained and was not able to get someone to help me on the first call, or the first few calls for that matter. It took for me to try and get code enforcement involved along with others to try to have my situation rectified. I was then moved to another unit, which I thought I would be satisfied with until I discovered that I had a roach infestation. Along with other issues with the apartment itself. Had one shelf in my pantry as well as roach Infested appliances. It really seem like majority of the staff was not willing to do what was needed to help the situation, especially since I have a small child with breathing problems. Also, along the sprinklers are these orange sort of clips that I was unsure needed to be removed until I actually got close enough to the ceiling to look at it and they all say “please remove after install” when I was told something completely different The majority of my stay, here has honestly given me the blues for the lack of help, care, and empathy in regards to how these units are being turned over to new tenants. The only help that I could get was from a couple of managers, who I can say tried their best to go above and beyond to assist me. Other than that, everyone else came off as careless, and I truly did not appreciate it. The treatment that I received here is completely uncalled for and unnecessary and I will not be renewing my lease. But I would absolutely hate for someone to end up in the same predicament that I was in living here."
"Negative Five! Terrible HERE! I have been targeted more than twice, and my door is being marked with cardboard in between my door. Ive had several surveillance cameras stolen from outside AND inside my apartment. It is apparent that someone has been consistenty breaking into my apartment, after vandalizing my car twice, with multiple police reports. I have been extremely patient with the grievances that i have regarding this apartment. I have even pointed cameras at my car from the inside of my apartment, as well as cameras pointing inside and the majority of them have been stolen. I know that all of my belongings, including an apple watch, laptop, cameras and more wont be replaced. Im at a loss of more than two months worth of rent in items that I have to replace and fix myself, and i cannot afford to have anything else vandalized or stolen and replaced. Im at a total loss of these items, which i have accepted. My main concern is my safety. I have vacated the apartment without my things because of the fact that i do not feel safe. The lights are always out, no ones cameras seem to be working, including my neighbors and complex and staff that works there. I had to ride around with a slur on the side of my car for weeks, making me even more of a target at my own home where i lay my head and suppose to feel safe while two bodies being found right by my door and active shooting going on."
"I have been here for a year, and service has been less than I can expect. I went from having a squirrel in my wall, the ceiling over my patio fall in, mold on the base board and my recent concern roaches. I will say and anyone that knows me can tell you that extremely clean. They send over the same exterminator who does the same treatment looking for a different result. I have invested hundreds of dollars personally and can not get this matter resolved . To make situation worst they increased my rent by $200 and have not held up their of the contract. As for my maintenance man Cliff he is on too of his game, but can only do when they have supplies to fill maintenance request. East Ponce you got to do better!"
