"horrible place to live. zero regard for their tenants. Gates are always open, doors are all unlocked. tenants smoke in their units and the hallways smell. The construction has left so much garbage and debris in the hallways and parking garages. There are short term rentals in the building even though they violate our lease agreements. Our unit has had roaches for MONTHS and no remediation has helped. Police have been called to our floor multiple times just this month. management has no respect for your unit or your lease agreement. We were told they were coming to perform maintenance last Tuesday, so we stayed home from work to watch our dog while they did the work. No one ever showed up. We then found out from management that someone entered our apartment without notifying us on Wednesday, while our dog was home and we had no idea. We have a huge issue with this because it puts our dog and our apartment at risk. All our emails inquiring why they entered without notice have gone un-answered. Do yourself a favor and live anywhere else."
"I didn’t have an appointment but this community gave me a great walk-in experience. Mrs. Edwards, in the leasing office particularly, gave me a very welcoming experience. Beyond that her colleague allowed me to participate in a promotion that won me a $100 gift card. I have never felt a more welcoming experience from an apartment leasing office before. Five stars!"
"I have lived at Aster for almost two years now and can’t wait for my lease to expire in May. The management company I think had just(?) changed to Pegasus when we moved in, and our experience was horrible from the start with NO ONE being there when we arrived in the middle of the afternoon on our agreed upon move in date, so we had to pay our movers extra to get them to stick around while we waited. The person who showed up was rude, told us we should have made a move in appointment (never told this by the person we toured with), and didn’t give us any information, just handed us keys and left. Cut to the next couple of years going forward we’ve dealt with the gates in the parking garage being constantly broken, the equipment in the gym being unusable for the last 7 months and still ongoing, fruit fly infestations each summer, dog feces and urine smells in the hallways, no hot water for periods of time, constant turnover of office staff, and more. Our friends who also live in the building have a bathtub which has the end slanted downwards (a construction error) so it won’t drain, and the office bought him a squeegee off of Amazon and wouldn’t do anything else. The location is nice and walkable and we couldn’t afford anything else in the area so we stayed, but my husband and I are counting down to move out."
"The staff here are absolutely incredible. I’ve had to deal with sub par apartment communities for years and got used to that being the norm I’ve had maintenance staff stay up through the night to fix an emergency issue and office staff work so hard for days to solve my issue that I had to stop by the office to tell them to not stay late on my account, yet again (shoutout to E and Kristy). They legitimately care Any time I’ve been waiting in the office or passed someone in the hall letting maintenance in all I’ve seen are positive and caring interactions. The units and amenities are great, along with all the regular selling points, but it’s the people that make it happen that make me really like living here"
"UPDATE: Look at the attached photos. I ended my lease a month early to flee these hazardous conditions, then I was sent a $3K bill in early termination fees. I'm going to have a good time in court!! *********************** I'm officially traumatized. I've lived here since March and for the second time, I have no hot water, in addition to all the other maintenance issues I've experienced. I haven’t had hot water since Friday, July 29. I feel that addressing this issue should be somewhat of a priority (I guess not). I asked a lady in the office if the issue can be addressed, not fixed, but addressed Monday, and I was told, “I’ll remind maintenance, but they have other work orders too.” Wow! She could have pretended she cared like the others do :/ I will definitely be requesting to terminate my lease this week. Here are a list of the the other issues I've experienced since I moved in. I will upload pics later. Day one, the following issues were underway: - I had no hot water - The garbage disposal had to be replaced - The kitchen sink was leaking - The toilet sounded like a Viking horn when flushed - Warm/hot water would not work in the washing machine (still doesn’t) - The dryer didn’t work, (still doesn’t) It takes hours to dry a load - The stove was filthy and gross as if it hadn’t been cleaned in years - The shower was also filthy as if it hadn’t been cleaned in years (still dirty with grit and grime that I can't get out) - Water seeps up through the kitchen floor - Refrigerator was dirty And I almost forgot, I got stuck in the elevator some weeks ago. I notified them, and they said nothing."
