"Balfour East Lake is owned and operated by Balfour properties BEWARE do not rent from this slumlord. I was targeted by criminal neighbors who broke in my apartment multiple times. They also dont fix anything once you move in. When I complained about neighbor downstairs taking my quiet enjoyment due to banging her ceiling with a broom for no reason the management turned on me and said it was my fault and filed to evict me. The lease is 52 pages long so they can stick you with anything. They also deactivated my gate key to drive or walk on the property while still taking my rent."

"Red Flag: I find it extremely sketchy that management primarily responds to to positive reviews and mostly ignores the negative ones. I live near this complex, and there have been multiple break ins and gunshots can be heard constantly. If you can look elsewhere, please do."

"I had a terrible experience living here. There were months where the heating and cooling didn’t work—they kept giving me the run around on getting it fixed/replaced. I also sent many notices around smelling gas in the home. A friend lived in the same complex and had the same issue. A few months after she moved there was a fire. Lastly, they made it impossible to get out of the lease although I had the payments to finish off. This is the worst place I lived in."

"defaming my name saying I was a bad tenant when I do not even know the management company who owns this place now? at least call before blatantly lying on documents because you think you have power. The property managers life has to be beyond miserable, like who actually goes out of their way to stop someone from getting an apartment with rental verification. I paid on time every time, so I guess we can go to court, I don't mind I actually love it."

"The absolute worst apartment company I’ve ever dealt with. Maintenance would regularly walk in unannounced for “emergency checks.” One dude walked into my bathroom while I was sitting on the toilet! The towed my car without warning while I was out of town to repave the parking lots. Came home and had no idea where my car was for two days while I waited for an answer from the office. Not to mention all the bugs! So many roaches. I’m thankful for every day I no longer live here."
