"I use to live there in from 2005-2008. I left because I had lousy neighbors. I thought I would try the property again so I reached out to the office via a phone call. I told her the date I needed to move in and her exact words (this is the manager) "Oh, you wouldn't know the property now, the apartment you'd get would be a totally renovated unit" (her EXACT words). I go to the property and the leasing agent asked me if I could come back in a hour because they were updating something. I told her I couldn't come back in a hour, I work from home and had taken PTO to go over to look at this "totally renovated unit". She then asked me if I was willing to walk over to the unit and look at it myself. I agreed, I told her I want to see the one that I was told the day before was totally renovated, low and behold comes the mountain of excuses, I told her I didn't want it if it wasnt the renovated one, she act like she didn't hear a word I said. The manager was sitting there looking dead at me, never opened her mouth to say anything, nothing like she did the day before, I didn't get a welcome feeling, so I left, went right across the street where "NO DOUBT" it's brand new, they offered me a cold drink upon my entrance, showed me the EXACT unit I'll be getting and the rest is history with a move in date of Oct 4. I'm paying WAY more than I would of at Winnstead but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Property manager here's a tip you guys might want to do.. If you post a apartment online, make sure that when the person comes to see it that the breeze ways are clean, what I saw was a total disgust. A person like me won't stay there, I AM too good for that and I don't apologize for it. My first stay at Winnstead I wasnt ashamed to give someone my address, "now", I wouldn't want a soul to know I lived there. But with my new lease at the new build across the street I wont be ashamed. Good day."

"Please don’t move here!! I would give 0 stars at this point if I could. As everyone stated, the leasing office is beyond unorganized. Jeanette and Bruce were amazing last year when I moved. Ever since they left, things went south quickly They have put my children and I in a very difficult situation. Last year I got approved without any issues. I told them 60 days in advance that I wouldn’t be renewing my lease but they called me and stated I could move into a cheaper unit. I submitted my application on Sept 1 and they just told me today that I wouldn’t be approved to transfer into another unit. It took them 4 weeks! 4 whole weeks!! I called so many times and nothing got done until this week. Now I only have 2 weeks to find somewhere else to go. This is the worse situation ever! Please don’t apply here!"

"I haven't been back to Winnstead in a while since leaving here a couple years ago and wow this place is completely different. They have updated the exteriors and improving their amenities. If your looking to stay somewhere affordable and nice-this is the place!"
