Reviews of The Lofts at Centennial Yards South
"After taking in the property for the most part I must say the reviews are definitely hit or miss. The unit is as pictured — and if your familiar with the reconstruction of the area now called “Castleberry” I think it’s fairly priced. Compared to the other units in the same area Centennial takes the lead for the best views and considerably newer amenities if you know how old this building is. If you are looking for a quiet property, just remember this is DOWNTOWN ATLANTA and the building is made of windows lol — it should go without saying that you are going to hear outside noise—- especially if there’s an event taking place at the stadium or arena. However in the unit itself it’s made of concrete and drywall so you will never hear your neighbors. Any noise you do hear will be by briefly passing someone’s door in the hall. 1) SAFETY (I’m sure the main concern with most considering everything happening in the city) — I disagree with the posts saying security is lazy. They seem to be VERY VIGILANT of what’s going on around the building on both shifts. The day I was moving in MJ noticed from the front desk me struggling outside with boxes and a baby and did come and help me. Also a few days later the male security guard did prevent non residents from accessing the building. They do not let ANYONE upstairs if they aren’t a resident — including deliveries, food, etc, which can be a pain sometimes but I thoroughly appreciate it. You need a fob for everything and only your fob can access your floor. Regarding the parking lot I will admit I gave a side eye when moving in however their is ample security cameras in it and a security guard in the parking lot during the evenings. 2) CLEANLINESS — any mess or anything out of place gets picked up immediately; now again this review is based of my experience of only being able to access MY FLOOR and common areas. I will say I’m sure that may vary floor to floor based on tenants. My floor is quiet, and clean however expect to smell marijuana a few times out of the week that sometimes permeates the unit which is extremely annoying if you hate the smell. 3) UNIT is 8/10. They are a tad smaller however for the price point I do think it’s fair for the area and the views. The only thing I wished is that the washer/dryer were bigger and they designed the bathroom better.You also can only load about a half of a typical laundry load at a time which I’m sure will send my electric and water usage a bit high. 4) STAFF I like the staff. I think their funny, relatable, accommodating and helpful so again I’d have to disagree with previous post. This is from the front desk to maintenance. They are good in my books. Overall there’s pros and cons but the location is convenient and the property staff make it worthwhile."
"Just renewed my lease for year 2 so they must be doing something right. I moved here from a spot right on the beltline in Glenwood Park. I really liked the neighborhood, but they tried to beat me over the head with a rent increase. I was a little disappointed I had to find someplace new, but the minute I met Shane and Bri at The Lofts I knew I had found my new home. They were super cordial and professional and had a great move in special. I want to say Bri is my favorite because I've worked with her the most, but Shane and Olin always come through when I need something as well. Whether it's a maintenance request, problem with my key card, or a question about the lease, they handle my concerns immediately. All of this is a bonus. The location is what attracted me here to begin with. Although I'm not on the beltline anymore, but I get to walk to work every morning. Within two weeks of moving in, I walked to The Weeknd concert at Mercedes Benz (Drank too much since I wasn't driving and fell asleep at the concert, but I got home safe). And I might be a transplant, but I'm a Hawks fan. Walking to State Farm Arena several times during the season to see my team is really convenient. Finally, the neighborhood is up and coming, but I feel safe and secure. Visitors can't even get to my floor unless I go downstairs to let them on the elevator. We don't have a gated parking lot or garage, but we have 24 hour security. Nobody has touched my car and I've never noticed any glass busted windows in the parking lot. Ask your friends in Buckhead if they can say the same thing. More restaurants are coming to the area soon, but in the meantime we've got Brewery in the bottom of the building that has food trucks show up every weekend. I am truly enjoying my living experience at the Lofts at Centennial Yards South!"
"If I could put more than five stars I would. I love staying here! The staff specifically Bri and Olin have made the place I call home well worth it. I love how they put residents at a top priority and are very attentive and personable with each of us. Also can’t forget maintenance Andre and Bud are AMAZING and if anything is ever wrong with my apartment, which is very rare, it’s not a hassle to get it handled. Thank you all for making living here such a pleasure."
"Serial renter here. I've stayed all over Atlanta in all kinds of apartments is this is by far my favorite. Excellent location I can walk to games, restaurants and even work. Great building, it's got excellent bones sturdy been standing over 100 years so historic (when all the infrastructure was failing in nearby apartments during the freeze last year this building withstood) great management team always helpful and super considerate. Security is on point , I don't really have to worry about my safety once I'm in the property unlike my previous places in Buckhead and midtown, (stay aware of your surroundings 24/7 though this is a downtown in a major city) they are even helpful when my petsitter comes when I am away. The building is clean other the occasional spill that gets cleaned up pretty quickly (our maintenance team and housekeeping team are very timely and efficient). Residents are respectful of each other. Only negatives are no pool, nostable guest parking but guests can use the pay parking across the street and the train noise takes some adjusting to but I hardly hear it anymore..also depending on where you are in the building the live music from brewery downstairs can permeate several floors. All in all enjoy my apartment and would highly recommend."
