Reviews of Sundance Creek Apartments
"I am a current resident of Sundance Creek. I’ve lived here for 2 years going on 3. My initial experience wasn’t so great but they turned it around immediately, which made me stay! It’s been 5 stars ever since. It’s quiet and everyone is friendly. I have a renovated upgraded apartment, and I love it. Marilyn and Ta’jah are the best! Maintenance team comes within a few hours of your request. Pretty sure I’m not going anywhere until I purchase a home. Thanks Sundance Creek!"
"( Making this review from my burner account) So far my move in experience was smooth . Now , prior to moving into I was informed that my unit was fully “remodeled” but I believe not so much . Maintenance did an ok job turning over my unit . Horrible paint job , and my garbage disposal was not even functional when I moved in . I’ve been there almost 3 weeks and I’ve already had to put in a maintenance request. Instead of “remodeling” it looks like they just painted over everything for cosmetic purposes. Now of course I did not notice when I did my walk through prior to signing my lease . But the more I pay attention to the small details , I can see how things were just polished . My bathtub , was painted so much it’s already starting to peel . It’s impossible for me to take a bath because the paint has now bubbled and chips off . There’s just random paint drops on the floors here and there . That cabinets in the kitchen are definitely painted over too. The handrails for the stairs have staples sticking out which were just painted over . I had to remove them myself after cutting my hand on one.I don’t experience any pest issues . My neighbors are quiet . The walls are thin but I can’t actually hear my neighbors. I can only hear them when they’re stomping , slamming their doors or running up and down the stairs which doesn’t bother me. The valet trash should definitely be optional. I can literally walk to the dumpster from my unit. Overall , I don’t have any REAL complaints . Maintenance responded quickly and completed the job with no issues ."
"BEWARE OF THIS PROPERTY!!! Breaking the lease here was the best 2,000 dollars I could have spent. The 2,000 dollars was an outrageous amount in my opinion but I didn’t want any strings attached to this property and I couldn’t allow me and my wife to remain here! This property has a Cockroach & ant infestation & False amenity advertisement. YOUR RENTAL WILL NOT LOOK LIKE THE TOUR UNIT. The entire property is old and some units still have a/c units hanging out of windows. There are a lot of issues within this entire property and I will address the main flaws that no one paying these ridiculous prices deserve. Me and my wife moved from out of state into a unit we were told was completely remodeled, we quickly realized this was all false, the unit actually had a lot of issues such as uneven floors that crack or pop with each step upstairs, poor ventilation which caused mold in bathrooms, and much more that wasn’t properly taken care of at anytime of our lease. The property wasn’t even properly cleaned when we moved into it. Within a month of moving into the unit that we were told was completely remodeled, our water heater went out which caused a leak to go through our floors and ceilings. Repair orders were put in and someone came to replace the appliance and just painted over the water spots with paint that didn’t even match the rest of our ceilings. We had roach and ant problems during our stay which pest control said was possibly due to other tenants, but it still was unacceptable. When the outside light went out at our door there were roaches all over the frame .Other reviews are true as well with similar issues; The property should require living quarter inspections. After reporting the cockroach issues to management, they insulted my intelligence by trying to convince me that the roaches were something called “Pine Bugs” little did they know pest control confirmed with me it was German Cockroaches. I knew it was an infestation to the property because at night, roaches would be swarmed at the trash compactor and dark areas of the parking lots. The trash compactor was also continuously broken. The swimming pool wasn’t open for an entire year and when it did open it was for about three weeks and was closed again with no answers to residents of why. There is a major safety issue for residents as well, The gates stay open entirely too long and people will get right on your bumper and speed into the property without having any keycards which had my family worried about who we possibly let into the community. Parking spots are small which led to my car being dented with no one taking accountability. In addition to this all, THE WALLS ARE EXTREMELY THIN. The price & mental state is not worth any of what you will experience, if you’re paying for rent with your hard earned money and not stipends I suggest going somewhere else. I would rate Sundance Creek Apartments a 0 or negative if I could. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!"
"My husband and I lived here from the summer of 2022 to the summer of 2023. We decided not to renew our lease mostly because of the horrible German cockroach infestation. And the drain flies that were in all our sinks through no fault of our own and the best the pest control could do was tell us to cover the drains. I suppose it’s not management’s fault that we had nasty neighbors but it wasn’t pleasant to live with. Also, the pool was closed for the entirety of our last few months there. We lived there through the end of May—well past the point that the pool should have been open. It would have been nice if someone had simply told all the residents what was going on with the pool instead of just keeping a closed sign in it and leaving people in the dark as to when it might be open again. Our main problem actually began after we moved out of the place. When we originally moved in, we signed up for the basic internet package that was through Sundance. We got our equipment shipped to us and everything was fine. When moving out, we asked what to do with our equipment and were told to just leave it in the unit. Well cut to several months later and we get a message from a collections agency saying that spectrum had sent us to collections for the fee of unreturned equipment. We went to talk to management about this and Marilyn said she would do an investigation into this for us and give us a call the next day to talk to us about what could be done. We never got a call from her. We called the complex several times and no one ever picked up the phone. It’s been a week now and we still haven’t gotten anything. They still don’t answer the phone. We’re just done. Overall, just rent somewhere else."
"I was denied for a rental unit ok fine. I look on the rental report that rentgrow provides which is what Sundance creek uses for your screening. To my surprise it says I meet the property requirements but yet I was denied anyway. I broke a lease due to my upstairs neighbors constant fighting, yelling and abusing his pregnant gf. This i explained to the young lady I was helping me before even applying. The report says that my broken lease is to old to even be used for the evaluation. I called several times before leaving this comment no answer."
