"DO NOT COME HERE THEY ARE SCAMMERS !!! Applied for an apartment just for them to turn around the day after && tell me my unit wasn’t gonna be ready. When they knew the unit I applied for wasn’t gonna be ready but they waited till I paid my application and admin fees to tell me . David told me I could get my money back by it being an inconvenience but he offered another unit I could get but a higher price then what I applied for, smaller and dirty apartment with dirty walls, Runny paint && mold . I asked for my refund because it was unacceptable now he telling me I can’t get my refund. Highly Upset And disappointed. THEY CONDUCT BAD BUSINESS. I advise taking your money and finding something that’s actually worth it !! It’s y’all trying to be sneaky y’all literally let me apply even encourage me to apply knowing the unit I actually applied to wasn’t gonna be ready. Then rush && offered me any kind of apartment like I’m supposed to accept a dirty apartment . Which I brought to David attention, his response was “ they old apartments” . It wouldn’t have been a problem if it was clean . I’m paying my hard earned money then I want something nice . Y’all wasn’t planning on giving my refund back from the start . I applied to the unit that wasn’t ready not what you offered , everything on my end was done right . Y’all is the one that messed everything up, didn’t even apologize , communicate , or take accountability . It was a problem on your end so the admin fee is definitely refundable due to something that was caused on your end . You holding my money because I won’t accept a dirty apartment is crazy."
"I moved to this community in June and my living experience has been great. My apartment is clean. Maintenance comes fast when requested. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The leasing and management staff are very courteous and efficient. I believe I made the right choice moving here."
"Renter BEWARE before making The Atlantic River West your home! Hold out for payment, and signing until they have completed ANY and ALL worked needed/promised because if not, it’s HELL on the back end and you WILL be inconvenienced Let me start by saying David assistant property manager, is very personable, relatable and nice guy. He initially made me excited about becoming a new resident of the quiet, convenient neighborhood however, ALL excitement quickly diminished daily at my move-in date. I am currently at my 3rd week of being a resident and have experienced nothing but issues with my apartment, shady contractors and some shady maintenance personnel,Property Manager and Regional Manager who hold tenant’s liable for short comings of personnel. I was promised a FULL renovated apartment prior to my move in date after completing my application and approval process. My assigned unit had been VACANT since the beginning of 7/2023, I completed my app the Beginning of August and approved by the 2nd week in Aug 2023. My said move-in date was scheduled for Sept 23, 2023. Friday: Sept 22, 2023 called at the LAST minute to do a walk through of the said renovations that I was rushed through! Upon entering apartment I quickly made mention to David about the shabby paint job and strong odor of paint! The paint job looked like someone painted with their eyes closed or allowed a little kid to do it. Peeling cabinets, baseboards, areas missed or half painted, overspray on EVERYTHING! Dishwasher not functional due to a needed piece, under kitchen sink rotted, warped and mildew wood from dishwasher water leak, and that’s just to name a few of the numerous other discrepancies observed. Saturday: Move-in day, found molded blinds with inches of dust, windows painted shut, sink faucet leak, rusted dryer, and Roaches and other bugs, rusted ic rusted handles/knobs or EVERY drawer and cabinet, no complimentary trash can for valet trash, corrosion in microwave, missing vents under microwave, Could not gain access into apartment bc key card not working. ALOT of issues for newly renovated apartment! When brought up to management work was assigned accordingly. The ONLY person who seemed to complete work properly was pest control. Maintenance manager looked me in my face and said he completed work that he DID NOT! Couldn’t even go through to replace ALL the knobs or at least clean them of rust! A floating mechanic between properties had to complete the needed work. Painters DO NOT properly prep appliances, personal items etc, to properly apply paint. Instead they will half paint, get overspray on appliances and your personal items and management will not see that as their problem or reimburse! Painters truly appear to be someone’s friends hired to paint who have NEVER painted professionally. CRAZY RIGHT?!? When asked to have rent pro-rated for the amount of time it would take them to complete work and replace appliances that could not be utilized I was denied & advised I did not have to move in from Nancy. Such a rude thing to say to a new tenant. There is much more but I would use too many characters! This property does not have a honor code and some of management can be very rude when tenants speak up for themselves and advocate. Property believes and OK’s, Mediocrity and expects you as a tenant to do so as well. If mediocrity is not suitable for you then the suggestion will be made for tenant to complete the work themselves with NO repayment or compensation in rent, when you technically did a job they are supposed to do! Nancy and Amanda believe in getting tenants money up front , going over ALL things tenants will be assessed fee and even evicted if in violation; but there is NOTHING holding them liable for things they Promised to do during a specific timeframe! The property has expectations for tenants but some how seem to slither out of expectations and obligations they have as a property and business. Within a week I wanted to move and was told I could but forfeited deposit & pay fees Future resident BEWARE prior to signing lease."
"Update 11/2/23: My package was accidentally taken from the leasing office. Nancy and the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that my package was located and contacted me once it was back in the office! Thank you Nancy & the entire staff for your assistance in locating my package! My experience moving into this community and before moving in was great! David was my tour guide and it was amazing! He’s very knowledgeable about the property and gave me the exact time frame of how long processing and everything would take for my application. Nancy, David, & the entire staffing team keep me informed about everything that was happening with my application within 5 days they gave me an answer which I feel was VERY FAST! Upon moving in my a/c unit in the apartment wasn’t working the office staff and maintenance team went beyond measure to ensure that I had a portable a/c unit in my apartment and that they keep me informed about when it would be fixed. Upon fixing it Juan was amazing aswell with resolving the problem. All around the community, communication, and staff was amazing! Thank you all!"
"I lived here for a year and I guarantee you can find better. I'll start with the good: The location felt safe enough and everything in our apartment was functional in a way where it was livable. Also this place is very close to a bus route. The bad: Our apartment was SWARMED with roaches, german roaches specifically. We called for the apartments pest control who showed up when we were not home and looked to do nothing? no spraying or anything. If you are unlucky enough to get the building nearest to the trash the dumpster is commonly overflowing and stinks BAD especially on holiday weeks. Our steps had large amounts of bird poop on them from the early spring to the fall. When our lease was almost up they sent us a new price and it was +500$ a month from what we were paying before. The gates were broken at least once a month, and lastly when calling the landlord/people at the front desk we were often hung up on when asking for help. I had a bad experience with this place so i gave it one star but i don't wanna be that person who only hates on a place. It wasn't completely awful living here but you can find better for around the same price."
