"I went and applied for this program. Had all qualifications and because of a personal vendetta against me and my family from another property employee because of my race lies fake allegations I had proof all this was indeed not true and that I never live in this complex so why was this person in my personal business when I'm not a tenant . Because they knew this person they denied my application. I'm currently seeking legal representation. This matter will be resolved. You didn't go by facts you went by gossip fake allegations."
"Very discriminative place. I have been trying to help someone get housing for years with this company and they still deny her with no proper explanation."
"I was evicted be absent someone that visited me did drug's in my apartment without my knowledge. When I discovered they had I reported it to police, which I thought was the right thing to do. I was called into the office and told I was going to be evicted for allowing drug use in my place. I was told to sign my eviction notice I was crying and begging them to understand I didn't know at the time and I went to the police. They wouldn't let me leave until I signed, plus I didn't stay the whole month and wasn't given any rent back. I had nowhere else to go. I explained that to Mrs. Cook and she could've cared less. I was told not to apply again for at least 5 year's, but I know if I apply, I will be turned down. I really don't understand why I was evicted for doing the right thing. I was homeless and she knew she was putting me on the street's"
"I am 34 weeks pregnant and have 3 little girls... We are homeless!, we moved to cedartown to stay with a friend for a little bit but she can't have us here long due to so many people here already..... My kids father walked out on us and we lost everything due to me being on bed rest. Im terrified that im going to give birth and have nowhere to go.... Would touching lives be able to help??"
"This location should be put under review for the individual they having running this location. Mrs. Cook is very rude and disrespectful. My mom lives under Cedartown Housing and has delt with Mrs Cooks scare tactics. She will stand over the person and talk down to them, talking to them like they are stupid and give no time for the person to respond before she dismiss them and walks off. If they are talking she could careless. I saw her do it to my mom so i stood up to be eye to eye with her since she litterly walked over to my mom, interrupt what my mom was saying then litterly said you can move out if you dont like it. My mom was just trying to find out why she could not get a larger apartment after her physician sent in a letter. This women has litterly told my mom to get rid of her things , when a physician sent a letter saying my mom needed more space instead of actually helping her. Yet they move individuals into my moms " secure building" who will sit on the balcony about to fall over from being high on pills or who knows what else. Now they have cameras and look at them because when my mom watched my little one while i worked Mrs Cook called her to the office and told her her grandchild was over to much and my mom needed to stop watching her or she risk being put out but says nothing when high people lounge around the building! I know this is a goverment location and is income based but just because your income forces people to be at the will of others does not give the individuals tasked with helping people the power to mistreat individuals. I believe this women and her tactics should be investigated because Mrs. Cook is on a power trip and in my opinion loves to mistreat people because she believes shes untouchable. Heck she wont even provide you with her supervisors information. They tell you to google and when you do you never get anywhere! Hopefully the right will see this review and look into this!"
