"Was very decent almost 4 years ago but now the management and manager are refusing to get my family moved over to a medically needed lower 4 bedroom apartment(also told by section 8 that this is required and needed also) that would help me be to be able to safely accommodate my son's medical bed, wheelchair and his medically needed tube feedings and all his equipment he has over baseless and normal wear and tear of an apartment that is petty. We also have other concerns that and issues that they are in violation of the ADA law with on my dad being a veteran and needs his service dog and them not honoring his paperwork from his VA doctor and her service papers on his dog that's not on what they want we were charged a pet deposit when not supposed to be charged. I'm not the only resident who has complained on the management and manager and nothing is being done but things are happening in retaliation because of us the ones that are speaking up and calling them out. I have tried to calmly discuss our situation and ask for them to listen but they get rude and attempted to evict us over this. If there was any way to resolve these matters I would be open but the management and manager refuses to do to so. They also have refused to register the vehicles I do use because of one thing but because of that one thing they will be towing vehicles without a permit but yet I have have explained why I can't have my name on the vehicles and they won't work with me and I'm at risk of having the vehicles I use towed but I don't have anywhere to park them close to me if I was to have an emergency rise with my son or dad and they simply do not care. There needs to a complete overhaul of management on this property starting with corporate who actually truly care about their residents and ones like me who have medically needed situations truly done right and not denied because of petty and wanting us gone over things that's normal wear and tear after almost 4 years of being here in this property and 8ve done everything in my power I can to work with them but enough is enough and now it needs a louder platform to be exposed how crooked the way certain residents including us are treated here but other can violate worse and nothing ever done but a slap on the wrist."
"I have lived here a long time. I would say overall it’s a good place. I wish they would stop going up on rent because it’s a low income neighborhood! I don’t understand why and how they can keep going up. My apartment has not been updated in over 5 years. I do miss Sharon a lot! There are many changes that still need to be made. One is the kids in the neighborhood need to supervised instead of roaming around throwing trash everywhere, bouncing and throwing basketballs on the sidewalk, playing in the parking lot and screaming for no reason. I used to really like it here. It’s gotten out of hand. The manager is sweet and is doing her best to help make it a nice and safe place again. We also have a lot of people who smoke all around and it’s a major problem that affects my family! This needs to stop."
"Overall it has been a good experience living at Cherokee Hills. I do realize it is slower with the transition to a new manager, but the new manager is on top of it even while in training. I do have concerns and think such things as preventive maintenance need to go back to being priorities in having a smooth business operation. There are things such as replacing batteries for smoke detectors, cleaning of dryer vents and routine yearly cleaning of condenser and coils for A/C units that need to be back on the yearly tasks that will help in solving an overload for calls for service when such is properly run and such preventive maintenance is regularly done during scheduled intervals as needed. I am speaking from experience having been a construction superintendent knowing the value of proper time management."
"We used to dred it here, but the new office manager has been trying really hard to make changes, and it's noticed!! We appreciate everything she is doing!"
