Reviews of Tallahassee Farmers' Market
"Too many resellers of produce and not enough farmers. Few venders here as well. We need one large market instead of multiple markets spread across town. The farmers that are here are EXCELLENT."
"Great farms. Lovely people. Marie's pickles and jellies are awesome. The mushroom folks are amazing. No dairy pimento cheese from Lucky Dog is fabulous."
"Neat little farmers market on the front lawn of a church. Many rotating vendors from the direct area as well as a few regional vendors. Fresh fruits and vegetables as well as meat and bread are found here amongst other items."
"Tip: Bring Cash!!! This farmers market is really cute! There was about 16 or so booths. The booths sold vegetables, honey, meats, olives and soaps. I really like how this farmers market has a larger variety of vegetables than the one in downtown by the capital. This has tomatoes, greens, potatoes, beets, onions, ginger, and so much more. There wasn’t a large variety of fruits here but I’m sure that goes with the seasons. This farmers market was more about produce than it was small trinkets, and gifts. It was dog friendly and I saw three or four dogs. As for parking, you have to park in the shopping plaza behind the market and walk through the pass-through with bushes to get to the booths. So when you pull in you drive past the market take a left into the shopping plaza where red elephant is an park anywhere. Some prices I paid was $1.40 for a 4 inch piece of ginger. Three dollars for a basket of cherry tomatoes. Three dollars for a basket of red potatoes. And three dollars for a basket of jalapeños."
"Lots of delicious fruits and veggies and baked goods. The fresh figs and green eggs you know didn't come from the grocery store but the plums (with the stickers still on) did. I'll be more careful next time with my daughter and ask, I literally only want local foods when I go. There was an old farmer there that taught me how to properly store my fresh garlic too! All in all it was lovely, 15-20 vendor booths gave us plenty of options to choose from."
