"Please read the reviews before considering this company, because despite the bad reviews I chose this company and regret it. I’ll start by saying they are ridiculously overpriced and yes I knew the hourly rate before hand but would’ve never guessed it would take 9 hours to complete a move. I was originally quoted at $189/h which I thought was decent for a 6-8 hour move. Then I called them the day before to see what time they’d be arriving. I told the manager what exactly had to be moved again and was told it would probably take 6-8 hours with 3 men. I was then recommend 4 movers at $220/h because it would most likely decrease my move by around 2 hours and would save me money, ha. On the day of the move I received a quote of around $2200 but I paid a $100 deposit so it was around $2100 that still had to be paid. Had I known the actual quote the day prior I would’ve definitely went with another company. My exact move time was estimated to be 945am-545pm with 4 men the day of, but according to them should not even take that long. Which I honestly felt should never take THAT long especially with 4 people. I ended up paying the $220/h for 4 men when in all reality it was 3 men that actually did anything, so I could’ve stuck with the original $189/h and probably saved some money. My move ended up lasting from 945am-615pm and I was charged an additional $120 for an extra 30min because “all the beds still weren’t up”. Not to mention my $400 table was broken in the process, and from prior reviews it looks like they BARELY compensate you for mishandled furniture. I gave 2 stars because the movers were nice. But this company and the moving process of this company is a complete scam and I would’ve rather chosen somewhere else and probably saved a few hundred dollars and time!"

"Crew did a great job led by crew leader Roy, and assisted by Jordan B, Brandon T, and Noah F. Only complaints are with the sales side, which didn't include in the estimate the cost of materials to protect the home, and didn't note the hill to the house. And then the Operations Manager tried to sell insurance based on a hokey standard doubling the cost of the insurance. We finally made the correction after confirming with owner. Ended up costing more than estimate by a fair amount. So crew was great, but back office and sales let us down. Beware! Thanks Roy for the work of you and your crew! 1/11 update -- Yes the management was very accommodating and recognized there were some process improvement opportunities. We agreed on a reasonable adjustment and I am pleased we were able to resolve the issues. The good companies out there learn from these opportunities and I trust US Family Moving will do the same!"
