"Fantastic company! Excellent communication between the dispatch and planning teams. Leadership is friendly, helpful, and you can tell they truly care about their employees. Overall, a really positive environment and great place to work."
"Phenomenal company! In such uncertain times and markets, the company is making decisions that are getting it poised for the long haul. As a 100% Employee-owned ESOP, it’s putting value in shareholder development and letting those that view themselves as employees go back to the market. They are looking for individuals that want more than an employee relationship, can see the big picture, and understand the difference between shareholder and employee. The office staff is top notch and works hard for the shareholder in the truck. This company has meaningful relationships with top tier customers. This company has walked away from unprofitable customers as well as business segments. RBI is committed to its shareholders."
"Recently left this company. They did do a lot of short loads but just last week lost lanes on their Lowe’s account (drop and hook) and completely lost tractor supply. Miles dwindled pretty consistently. When you start, they pull $750 out of your check a little at a time so when you quit and don’t give a WRITTEN 2-week notice or if there is any damage to the truck they will keep that money. I personally did not like how dispatch communication is ONLY via text messaging and I did feel like communication needed improvement. If you are a driver that wants to run weekend, forget it here. The yard in Valdosta is overcrowded with bobtails and a bunch of trailers leaving nowhere to drop trailers when instructed to t call a load on the yard. This company is definitely a southeast company with some runs (hauling PCA) going to Michigan. Trucks are limited to 66/67 mph. If you run a load to florida you will deadhead back north to Valdosta, ga for your next load. You cannot fuel at any and all pilot/flying J’s. They have a list of specific truck stops you can fuel at and most have a gallon limit (30,60 or70 gallons) The people there are nice but as dispatchers and as a business just wasn’t the right fit for me. They just swapped from Omni tracks to peoplenet with tablets. Oh and anytime I broke down safety tried to blame it on driver negligence, but it definitely was not. Breakdowns were because of normal wear and tear on a truck and I did have to fight with the company to get breakdown pay when such instances did occur. I feel like this is a good stepping stone company, if you need a job right away until something else comes along. But once again not a good fit for me personally."
"I can no longer with good conscience recommend this company to drivers seeking to advance their career. I put in 8 years for RBI. During my 8, the company suffered a corporate takeover destroying all the things that made it appealing. Just stick to SWIFT or continue looking elsewhere. No, I am not a disgruntled employee. I hold stake in the company & it is in my best long-term financial interest for the company to do well. However, I have little faith in that system. We (employees) were sold a lie. A few suits will go home with millions while the workers get ENRONed. Any other reviews left prior to 10/07/2023 should be considered null & void."
"Someone needs to tell truck #613 to make sure he isn't being lazy with his land gears. Watched him try to pull a trailer from a Lowes in Gautier, MS this morning and he decided he didn't want to wind them all the way up. Caught the slope coming out of dock. And left a 2.5ft streak in the concrete where they were grinding on the ground and forced him to stop. Thought he'd learn his lesson but his other trailer he dropped here also had low landing gears and barely missed the slope. His backing was good though."
