Reviews of Covenant Logistics
"I’m having a great experience. These are the kindest and most professional people you could meet , anywhere. The facilities are excellent. I have only been here a week and feel proud to work here. I hope to be at Covenant for a long and fruitful time."
"I have enjoyed working here for the last 3 years. If you take care of your job, the customer, and look out for the company they will work with you on any issues. I love my fleet managers and have a good team partner which can be hard to find, but if you resolve to not be petty and work together it can be rewarding. Team driving isn't for everyone, some people will complain about anything, but if you put money first, you can get past most teaming issues."
"DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. IF YOU JUST STARTING OUT.. DO YOUR 6 MONTHS AND LEAVE ASAP. BUT BE AWARE, IF YOU LEAVE THEY WILL TRY AND BLACKBALL YOU FROM BEING HIRED WITH ANYOTHER COMPANY. DRIVER'S ARE ALWAYS SITTING WHEN THE TRUCKS ARE SUPPOSE TO CONSTANTLY MOVE. SO THE MONEY IS NOT WITH THIS COMPANY.. Also dispatchers are very disrespectful and liars. They will never believe anything you say over the dispatchers.. I went to them fresh out of school 7 months strong with no problems then try to leave and can't work anywhere now due to false reports from Covenant Transport.. I wrote a letter of resignation 9/13/2023 and since then they've made it hard for me to work anywhere else because they know I'm a good driver but disrespecting your workers is crazy. They only care about themselves and the loads. THE WORKERS ARE ONLY NUMBERS TO THEM. BE AWARE A D CHOOSE ELSE WHERE THIS COMPANY WILL HINDER YOU FROM A SUCCESSFUL CAREER. It's suppose to be a Christian company but has been messing over people records for years that leaves there company. Employees can't even get a chance to build a new career without having to be scared of if they're looking for a better opportunity because Covenant Transport, will specifically lie on your mvr or anyway possible to make sure your not able to work in the industry again or make it hard as anything.. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! MAKE A BETTER CHOICE."
"If you are a new driver with less than 6 months experience…. DO NOT COME HERE! I’m going to give an honest review here. Some praising, and some cons. But it’s mostly Cons. Now, I’ve driven before and waited a couple years to late to have certified experience, so I had to start over; trained with a trainer who was very much concerned with moving (you make your trainer money when you move), so if you still decide to choose Covenant, do not be afraid to make them teach you the ropes of trucking. And if you don’t like em after a couple days, tell your dispatch to get you another trainer. Trust me, you won’t get fired. Another thing, when I first got to Covenant I thought it was odd and cool that there were so many black people working there. I saw a lot of black faces just sitting around. Now, I can’t speak for non-black people, but myself. And what I thought was a good thing, turned out to be misleading. They have a lot of us, and they take advantage of a lot of us. Most people who looked like me fspeaking specifically as a black person working there), we were waiting for trucks and trainers for weeks. When you get there, you have 3 day orientation, then you wait weeks to get a trainer, then after a month with you trainer, some came back to Chattanooga to wait again for trucks. Now, i’m not saying that other people of different races didn’t have to wait either, but the majority of drivers that flooded the Covenant Hotel and the Covenant lounges were majority black/carribeans and Africans. Most of the Haitians they hired (Not disrespecting any Haitians) you could tell did not have a well defined understanding of the language. And I point that out to emphasize Covenant Logistics/Transports motives. They know that most black people and immigrants let things slide. They understand the psychology around that, and a lot of the things I heard, dispatch was either downright rude to these drivers, or relied on their ignorance to delay either pay, or didn’t pay them. Because I was considered a “student driver” even though I had experience years ago, they TRIED doing the same to me, but I always protested, and protested correctly. But, for any black person (male or female), or immigrant of black descent; do not come to this company. They come off as a “Christian” based company. But remember it’s also the south. These same southerners thought slavery was christian based too. Not saying this company is racist, but when it comes to there black drivers…. LOOK AROUND and tell me the majority of people you see waiting on a truck or a trainer. Like I said, I can’t speak for non-black people, and this company may fit you. But if you’re black (male or female), they’ll screw you over. Also they’re Covenant Hotels are roach infested, dirty and grimy. Here are pictures of the Covenant Hotel entrance. This is your introduction to the place. BEWARE!!!!!!"
