"Google asked for a review of Barry's. So here it is. We drove 5 hours to look at a few rv's they had on their website. We ended up buying one. We had arranged prior to arriving that their rv's were ready to go, not requiring to have broken and slack items addressed at checkout. Before we left, we made sure they fixed a plumbing leak, replaced a missing fuse panel cover, and a spare tire. They did not negotiate any price other than their price. We left around 2 pm. And made it up and down the mountain and onto hwy 27, and a tire blew out, taking out the sewer pipes and damaging the body of the camper. I called roadside assistance for my truck, and they came and did the work. We also called Barry's and left a message on a voicemail and emailed. We put on the 15-inch spare with the other 16-inch tires and went to Discount Tire, where they said the remaining tires were 6 years old and also ready to delaminate and blow out. We replaced all 4 tires with proper 10 ply tires and a 16-inch wheel and tire for a proper spare. A significant addition to the price of a "CHECKED OUT AND READY " camper. I did receive a call back with a compassionless salesperson with the only response repeated over and over that they don't warranty tires. Upon being home, the "NEW" barrery is dead, unable to disengage from the receiver, as well as the front legs rod has fallen down non-functional, the door key lock fell out with the key. That's day one. So, I suggest after reading this review you the savvy shopper, you shop somewhere else. Especially if you see any reply contesting these facts. I am the one who has evidence to support these facts."
"The only person here worth any credit is the woman running the office. She’s knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Her daughter (who I suppose is the salesperson) lacks all customer service skills and has an indescribable attitude problem. Hopefully she’ll get better with time and learn from her mother how to speak to people with respect. My main reason for leaving a negative review is that my camper was sold to me with the BLACK TANK FULL. That is absolutely disgusting & THEIR fault, as it should have been checked before selling."
"Hate to even give one star, they sure don't deserve it. We bought a 2008 Forrest River Sunseeker, Class C, our first camper, looked good and they talked a good story until it's yours.....after a few months we smelled a musty oder....found out by having it checked out it was all wet in the front over the cab area, (the pictures posted are what we found and were told this happened way before we ever owned it). We were also told it was going to cost $18,000 to fix a camper we just paid $32000 for and we are retired!!! Barry blamed us for any and all damage...he told us "we drove it over bumpy roads on way home and made it leak!!" REALLY!!! We also had some delamination that we had to repair. Needless to say they wouldn't do anything and because of the family owning most lawyers in Summerville none of them would talk to us either. If it would not of been for my husband spending countless hours on youtube and fixing it ourselves for around $3500 (new insulation, underlayment (the old was all wet), rubber roof, vents & covers and all new Filon to redo bunk area over cab). At least we know what we have now and it's much better than what we started with. Please people, have someone inspect your RV before you buy it will be well worth the money spent and PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BARRY'S RV/AUTO SALES IN SUMMERVILLE GA!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I wish I would have read other reviews about this place!!!!! Fair warning. Great experience working with them buying the camper. Once you sign the dotted line though the whole mentality changes about business and customers. I had the RV checked within the 90 day warranty period and a mechanic told me the rotors and brakes needed replaced. Warranty does not cover either, obviously. Talk to Barry and his comment is the brakes and rotors were fine when he drove it in to his place of business and I waited to long by not letting them know before I drove it home. Why give me a 90 day warranty then? His excuse was that he cut the price of the camper. If I would have known I had to replace brakes and rotors I would have had you cut the price even more to cover those or not bought the camper. Horrible experience with this place and shows just how greedy dealers can be. I learned my lesson. Just beware guys and girls."
"My family purchased a travel trailer sight unseen after our house and business got destroyed from the hurricane that hit Panama City in October. The camper was better than the pictures show. We are a business owner in the area and we are very happy for the perfect timing that lead us to do business with this family they have been absolutely wonderful. The whole family has went above and beyond to help us not only find the camper that fit our family but the delivery of it also in a very timely manner. I have sent multiple family’s to them and they have done the same thing for them as well."
