"I needed long needle pine straw delivered & spread. The place I’ve gotten my pine straw from for over 10 years is currently out of pine straw, so I called West Cobb Pine straw based on their positive reviews. The gentleman on the phone was prompt, professional and polite. The property only needed 30 bales so I was disappointed when told their minimum to spread was 40 bales. He said, I can deliver 30, just not spread it…. I asked the price per bail and was told $5.00. So I ordered 30 bales to be delivered the next week. I gave him my credit card info and he told me I would not be charged until it was delivered. The straw was delivered on the day as promised, they placed the straw exactly where I had requested, which was nice. The long needle straw was ok, better than the big box stores but nothing special (for long needle). My disappointment came when I saw the charges, there was a $20 delivery fee I wasn’t told about. I’ve purchased a lot of Pine Straw to be delivered and spread throughout the years, owning rental properties. In my past experience, if I ordered 20 or more bales, there has never been a delivery fee. I understand with gas prices things could be different, but I would expect to be informed of any additional charges! When I ask him the price per bail, that would have been the proper time to tell me if there was a delivery fee. Note to the owner, surprise charges are never a positive thing!"
