Main St Cleaners rendered 3 high quality men's suits completely unwearable, passing the blame onto the manufacturer and refusing any gesture of compensation. I am aghast, and hope to spare other customers a similar horror. Of five Jos A Bank suits bought from the same store just months ago, three went here and two went to Four Seasons in Auburn. The two cleaned at Four Seasons are in perfect condition. When these three were picked up, I noticed substantial puckering on the flat front left side of all three jackets. I took them back and received an employee's explanation: "We have a new girl on the press." After a no-charge do-over, they were worse. An older gentleman employee apologized and offered to do them one more time, but wasn't optimistic. The third time, they were entirely ruined. Manager David Wilkinson showed me a bulletin and said it was a manufacturer's defect (apparently affecting only and all these three suits, and not the two cleaned at Four Seasons), denying all responsibility. He didn't even offer to refund the $50 they charged me! I took the suits to Jos A Bank, who said they'd only seen this once before (also from Main St Cleaners!), that it wasn't a defect. However, Jos A Bank offered to replace the jackets so we wouldn't be socked with a $1000 loss. I don't make a habit of consumer complaints, but no customer should risk this kind of experience. (On the other hand, Jos A Bank gets a top review!)"
