"I bought my first home, and have a warranty company for my appliances. My refrigerator completely went off, so I filed a claim. They had someone out to my house quickly, but they could not figure out what was wrong with my refrigerator. A month goes by after replacing parts that could be wrong (they didn’t really know). They finally got it to work. Fast forward 3 months, and it’s doing the same thing again. Filed another claim sent someone out again, and all he did was wiggle a weird looking wire. I was beyond unhappy and let them know it didn’t fix it. They said someone would be out Friday after 1, well they no showed. Then after calling the warranty company who re-assigned a new company to come out only to find out the part they “fixed” was misinstalled on on of the first trips. I am now out $150 for my copays and my refrigerator does not work. I am so frustrated with the no shows/ lack of communication that I just bought a new one. This was a huge ordeal to just get my refrigerator repaired, but it never was. I understand being a small business (as I run one myself) but I believe I was more than patient with all of the excuses. If you’re too sick to own a business you need to have people who can run it in your absence, if I treated my clients with how you all treated my case I would not be in business! Stay FAR AWAY from this company!"
"Read!!!!before you agree to do business with this company or the owner named Joe. I placed a ticket into my Home warranty. They assigned Joe. He told me to send him some pictures and I told him what was wrong. He said the hot water heater was bad and needed to be replaced and he would notify the home warranty company. The home warranty company approved the replacement. Joe told me he would be out Saturday. However at the last minute said he could not come. Finally on Sunday he sent a technician out to my home at 6:00 p.m.. The technician showed up however did not have the proper tools to install the hot water heater. So on Monday Joe shows up in our home at 7:15. Joe does not have the proper items to install the hot water heater. So he then has to go up to the local home depot to get parts. Joe comes back and installs the hot water heater however does not have all the necessary piping to complete the job. We have a missing piece however Joe says it will be fine. Joe says we should have hot water and 30 minutes and things will be fine. An hour and a 1/2 later no hot water. My husband reads the directions on the hot water heater and it was installed incorrectly. The direction state that you have to run all the air out of the line before installation. Also other key instructions were left out. So at almost 1:00 a.m. in the morning we have no hot water and have to wait till tomorrow to get somebody from our home warranty company to get someone who is able to fix all this mess the joe created. So sad that there are people like this in the world."
"Long post but I believe it has some good suggestions. To start, I put in a claim through my home warranty company on June 24th and Appliance World picked it up. Within a day, I had a call from the technician stating they wouldn't be able to come out but if I sent some pictures of the problem that would do. So I did. Nothing but crickets for a week. I call them asking what was the status: they said they could be out there in a few days, but I stated it would have to be before 7/3 as I was going on vacation that day for a week. Joe said he would try to make it out there before then. Never heard from them until I had to call them after I got back from vacation. They finally sent out the technician on 7/23 (yes, 29 days later) and he was there for 2 minutes. I reminded him that I was the one who had sent pictures to him almost a month ago. He said he would put in the claim for the part to the warranty company and go from there. I asked how long it should take for them to get the part and be back out. He responded "it should be ready in a couple days, 3 at most." Never heard from them. Texted the technician. Said he messaged Joe and just waiting on him. Called Joe last night. He said he would call me back later - never did. Called today, only for him to tell me the warranty company wants me to put in another claim since it wasn't the original problem. Now the warranty company wants to charge me another service fee to get my problem looked at. 35 days later. Since communication was awful from Appliance World. Some Suggestions: 1. It sounds like Joe has had some medical issues. I assume that is why he is picking up so many claims since medicine isn't cheap. Suggestion1 : Stop! You're taking on too much and letting too many people down. It's hurting your business, not helping. Take on what you can and once you're back to 100%, then take on a bigger load. Suggestion 2: Get a secretary. You obviously can't keep track of all your clients. As stated in other reviews, every time I talked to him it was like introducing myself again. I felt like I was in 50 First Dates and I was Adam Sandler. Have someone take care of orders and call clients back when it doesn't work out. It's that simple. Suggestion 3: If you can't afford a secretary (I know cost of labor and insurance isn't cheap), get a planner. Write down every client that you're supposed to see and everyone you don't get to in the day, call them back! I wouldn't have given you 1 star if you called me back and said you couldn't make it out that day. It's the waiting and never hearing anything that irritated me. Final Suggestion: Stop making promises you can't keep. That was the most frustrating part. Telling me you would do something or call back, and it never happened. If you don't know when/if you can do something, nothing wrong with saying you don't know for sure. I appreciate that more. I hope these suggestions help you be a better company and more successful in the future. If my warranty company calls upon you again, I hope I have a better experience and have no problem giving a better review."
"I have been doing business with this company for years, and recommend them highly! Five stars is not sufficient to describe this company! Owner and staff are friendly, efficient, prompt, professional, and quick to respond to any and all requests, from service to sales! I have never had a negative experience with them! They sell quality used appliances, and stand by them. Delivery is quick, and efficient. Service is prompt, efficient, and the staff and service is excellent! Love this company! I am a lifetime customer! If you have any appliance needs, this is the place to go!!"
"If you need a repair done, steer clear of this company! I'd give zero stars if I could. We did not choose this company, our home warranty come did. They came out about 3 weeks ago to look at our dishwasher. The tech got it start but did nothing to fix it. It wasn't starting when I turned it to start. He then came out a few days later and said the timer wasn't working and that they would need to order a part. I called them over and over again and got the run around each time. They said they would come and made false promises. I mostly spoke with the owner and I had to call him EVERY SINGLE TIME. Not once did they call me to say they weren't gonna show up. Every day I spoke with Joe he said oh yea I'll be out there or I'll send the tech. Everytime I called him, he had no idea who I was or where I lived. It wasn't until today 3 weeks later that my husband called the home warranty company telling them what was going on and wala the tech shows up within the hour. If Joe knew they didn't have correct part, why did he keep telling me someone would be out? They lie and don't call you and then they answer and just tell you what you wanna hear. What kind of business is that? Not one I'd reccomend. If our dishwasher still isn't fixed our warranty company will be sending a different company. Do not trust them with your business!"
