"My husband and I prefer Home Depot to any other hardware store and we have for years. This is because of their superb customer service. Tonight we went to get a piece of plywood and we needed it cut. We picked out our piece of plywood and took it to the cutting machine. I found an associate and asked if they could call an associate for us. They paged and we waited. Five or so minutes go by. I go and find another associate they make a few calls and say the people they called were not certified. So they page again. Again, we wait. Another 5 or so minutes go by. My husband goes to find someone. He hears someone working in the other lumber aisle. He asks if he works in lumber. The gentleman says yes. My husband's asks if he can cut a piece of plywood for us. This guy isn't certified either! This store is full of associates. It is not hard to find one. Hence why we usually prefer to shop here. What I don't understand is how can you have a store full of associates, including someone working in lumber, and not one of them be certified to operate the cutting machine? In total we probably spent 15-20 minutes waiting. Finally we just gave up. We are highly disappointed. Home Depot, do better."
