Big Green Egg

"Always glad that I chose Big Green Egg. I stumbled into Big Green Egg a dozen years ago. My ex-girlfriend bought one and asked me to figure out how to use it. At first, I thought it was too expensive for a grill. After a month, I bought one for myself. I don't know how, but the food always tastes better on the BGE. It's quick and easy to get started. It's easy to shut down and save the remaining charcoal for the next time. It does everything from grilling steaks to slow smoking and making pizza. Cedar plank salmon is the family's favorite. In the store, the people were pleasant in the service is good. I have a multitude of accessories. I was having a problem with the Egg Genius that I bought a few weeks ago, which controls the temperature like a regular oven. They cheerfully replaced it without asking a lot of questions. I'll be back."

"If I could give a 0 star for customer support I would. I have owned my XL BGE for over 12 years now and never had a problem with support until now. In fact it was superb in the past. So, my Firebox cracked, and when I went to the dealer I bought it from with pictures, and they know me well. They told me their hands were tied and would need to contact BGE directly since I didn’t still have a receipt, after 12 years! Who keeps receipts that long. Well, I left two messages with Customer Support Team, and filled out an online form to the same effect, and then emailed them directly. I Finally got a response that basically said I’m SOL without it. I never needed a receipt or was asked for the serial number (which does not appear where their site says it should, or I just can't see it anymore since my egg is 12 years old. I should be in their system since BGE replaced the Base in 2015. The owner of where I bought MY XL, and a Mini Max in 2019, Which I don’t have the receipt for either told me that things have changed at BGE when they got a new CEO. In the past, all I had to do was go to the vendor, and they warranted it. This is ridiculous with older customers. I would have saved the receipt if someone had told me to do so, and no one ever told me I had to register it. The vendor doesn’t keep that info for more than 3 years, so they don't have a record of it. BGE should do something for the older customers because we were never told to register our Eggs or keep receipts FOREVER. I’ll fix the firebox, sell both of them, and go with a different product. Buyers Beware. Their support is not what it use to be, and there are other alternatives that support their products."
