Reviews of Get Nails
"I have been coming here for YEARS at least 10 plus years me ,my daughter &EVERYBODY I know from the westside comes here… I know for a FACT nobody is racist here… You might get an attitude every blue moon but we are all human…but RACIST NO! Hell no! This is the most blackest nail shop you gone come to in the hood! The best nail shop on the westside of Atlanta! And don’t let it b a holiday …you better come early cause they be too packed!"
"Recently I did do a 5 star review, but I had to change to 1 star because of dealing with MiMi. First, I asked for black powder and she was very argumentative with me about the color choice powder with stating why black, I want to do purple and that BLACK is DIRTY. I was taken back by this response and tried to avoid saying anything to her. When I asked could she make my nails shorter because they were too long, she said no let’s not change then they aren’t long and proceeded to do them even though I wanted them shorter. At the end of service when she applied the chrome, I tried unicorn and didn’t like it on two nails, I asked nicely could we do purple chrome instead and of course she had a bigger attitude. She took alcohol pad and took it right off which I didn’t understand why you have a attitude especially if you aren’t filing down nails to remove chrome. Overall experience, I won’t be returning. She talked about me with another customer who was waiting for her and obviously I can hear you. I just had to avoid her. It’s unprofessional and for her to call black dirty was extremely racist in my eyes because that’s how you feel. You service black people everyday and have made your living off us but the black color itself is dirty. I can’t. Do not recommend. Been coming to this shop for 12 years and today is my last day."
"I won't be back to get nails at Get Nails. The place is a ripoff. I got a gel manicure and pedicure, which costs $85, not including the tip. Three days later, the color began to peel off all nails except a few. By day five, I had to remove it all because it looked so bad. When I got the same service for only about $10 more at a different salon not long ago, (it was not in a minority neighborhood), the nail color (same brand) lasted almost three weeks before I needed a fill in. If that wasn't enough, the staff servicing me at this lackluster establishment is quite aloof and not very friendly unless you are a known (loud) and regular customer. I may have to drive farther and out of my neighborhood for good service, but it is better than being poorly serviced and cheated."
"Anthony did such a good job on my nails and he knows what I like! This is my second time going and I’m already satisfied with the beauty and quality of my nails. My only complaint is the customers. I work in the service industry as well as a waitress and I understand the stress. I only hope people will be kinder to these workers when telling them their concerns! Anyways, thank you Get Nails."
"Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I went in to get a broken nail fixed and unfortunately the only nail tech I normally go to no longer worked for the shop. I had to go to a new lady. she rushed through every step. I had to ask her to replace the press on nail initially, because the way she cut/shaped it looked nothing like the shape of my other nails. Once she replaced it and started applying the acrylic i asked her to stop because I could clearly see my nail wasn’t going to look anything like my other 9 fingers. I told her I wanted someone else to do it. The acrylic was laid on WAY too thick, and the nail itself was crooked. She told me to “go”/leave without even trying to remove the messed up acrylic. She was extremely rude, gave horrible service, and rushed through every step of the service. I will never get my nails done here again. I had to go to another shop to get them to correct the messed up acrylic she had applied."
